As you probably read on this forum last week, the Gen 4 19C USA pistols started popping up on Gunbroker.com and in the LGSs without any announcement from Glock. I'd been wanting a Gen 3 19c or 17c and been looking locally unsuccessfully for one so I snagged a 19c on www.Galleryofguns.com using their Gun Genie feature last Wednesday evening and the FedEx hit my local dealer yesterday afternoon (still waiting for them to check it into inventory so I can go pay the balance and pick it up). When I ordered, Gallery of Guns had 4 in inventory but were gone the next morning.

On Monday I noticed that GalleryofGuns.com created an Item Number for the 17c that previously didn't show up in a search but were showing it at 0 inventory. I've been checking back regularly this week and the inventory still shows 0. Just a few minutes ago I decided to click the product detail link and that page showed 18 in inventory. It allowed me to go through the whole order process and put a deposit down on one. When I go back to the search it still shows 0 in inventory and the item detail page still shows 18 in inventory...who knows if they have them and I'll get it or if they will cancel my order and refund the deposit.

I thought I'd put it out there for anyone else looking for one. If you want a Gen 4 17c and if this is a limited production run, this may be your best bet for getting one. The best offer price of the local retailers participating in the Gun Genie service was about $554 + tax (including fees and shipping).

Was that price including the deposit to GOG? They say the deposit is 167.+ tax and shipping then you still have to pay 456 when you pick it up.

That price includes the deposit. I'll owe $419 when I pick up. The LGS I'm using is a very high volume and is usually competitive. They charge an extra 3% if you pay with CC. Another local quote through GOG was about $100 higher with the rest being about $20 higher. The 19C was my first GOG experience.

They now have a forest green frame Gen4 17c in their "Product Spotlight" showing 99 available.

Interesting note here, The 17C Gen4 does not have the cut out in the barrel hood:

Good catch!

I noticed my Gen 3 G19C has a small beveled front edge on the chamber (similar to the Gen4 G19C, above, but without the center groove), but my Gen3 G17C, G22C, and G23C do not (straight/flat chamber all the way to the front edge locking surface). I wonder what makes the G19C "need" these differently profiled cuts?

A local shop can get a gen4 17C for 549+ tax, so of course I put a deposit on it and it will be in next week...I must have called 10 stores that was in driving distance and was the only one that could get one from their distributor.
