I was looking for a better set of sights for my Glock 21-2, and I ran-across a set of new XS Big Dot Sights at eBay for $80, or Best Offer (Up 'till then, the cheapest XS Big Dot Sights I could find were $108.). I was going to buy the set for $80, but being the penny-pincher that I am, I offered him $70 for the sights, and he accepted...So, now, I have the PERFECT combat sights on the way....
I'm a month late to this thread, but I just recently put a set on my G19. I ran 250 rounds with them and I have to say I'm impressed. For me they just simplify the process of aiming. Shooting 6" steel plates at 15 yds, I just put the dot on them, press the trigger and then hear a satisfying ring. They're very quick and intuitive for me. Sometimes I find it difficult to focus on the front sight rather than the target. It's like my eyes are trying to focus on both at the same time. With the Big Dot, I don't have a choice in the matter because the dot covers most of the target. They'll eventually go on all of my pistols and probably my Benelli M1s90 tactical.
Put them on several of my carry guns. The front sight is fast and easy to pick up, and I find them easy to use for my old eyes. Accuracy out to 15 yds is just as good as regular sights, and with my eyes, I don't shoot well past that range unless it has a scope! I just would like an orange or lime green insert on the front sight to make it stand out even more. Like them enough to put them on all my carry guns.
