Are there any sites you folks use like Slickguns only for ammo? I need to load up on more defensive ammo. I use Gold dots almost exclusively.

Below is my last defensive ammo purchase from TargetSportsUSA.com in May. Shipping was $12.42. I can't find much on the recommended list locally.

I shoot SD Gold Dot) ammo once a month and practice with less expensive ammo the other times I shoot in the month.

I do like to shoot what I carry and I like to find the best deals I can get. I was raised to look for good prices and not pay retail ever. This hasn't changed even now that money is easier than when I was young.

But practice ammo is great for up north at cabin on my own property. I am the most comfortable up there as opposed to ranges. I have seen some really scary stuff at ranges. Newbies, know-it-alls and gang guys doing all kinds of stupid stuff. I will feed my Glocks and revolvers cheaper loads because they can perform really well on lesser ammo.

Ammo is a good place to price out for good costs per trip to shoot. I have just depleted my SD ammo and want to buy 250-1000 at a time so I always have good ammo on hand.

I use Freedom Munitions for my range ammo, and sgammo for my self-defense ammo.
sgammo seems to be out of stock in 124 grain HST rounds. I've been checking for the past few days with no luck. So, I'm going to look locally or order them from Target Sports which has them on sale for 49 cents per round.

.49 cents for a SD load is a good price I will have to pick up on some of that.
Thanks guys if you come across any more deals just post.

You can get ammo much cheaper on line. For example Natches has 9mm Blazer for $9.79 a box of 50.
500 rounds of 22lr should be around $25. You do not pay State sales tax on line, but pay shipping so it about the same. When buying on line you do need to buy at least 1,000 round to make it worth it.

Most ammo places wont ship to AK. Or if they do they charge some crazy outlandish fee for shipping. We dont have taxes here. All the locals sell .22 for 50 bucks for 500 rounds i wish i could get it for 25 bucks.
