I love a revolver. It has crossed my mind that if another ban comes along revolvers will likely be safe, but the reason I like them is because I shoot them better compared to semi autos.
Need some k frames in there.
Shot an icore match today and enjoyed it much.
A simple gun with simple controls and simple equipment makes me happy!
The fact I can hold my own with a gun made 60 years ago that has never had a part replaced spring "upgrade" and so on gives me great satisfaction.
Don't get me wrong have plenty of autos and enjoy them as well, but nothing beats the simplicity , great inherent accuracy and durability of a revolver. I even have a couple over 100 years old that work just fine- many auto people will insist to trust an old auto ( even a glock only 20 years old) you need to replace springs or parts. My revolvers never needed any of this. While not perfect (anyone ever had an ejector for come loose while shooting?) they have given far less headaches than autos especially when acquired in neglected condition
I love revolvers. I have so much fun shooting these darn things. More fun than humans should have! Ha!! I love j frame revolvers. I also love my .357 magnum revolvers. I am most accurate shooting my S&W Model 686 Plus. I tweaked the trigger action and got it to where I want it to be. Looks like you have a S&W Model 638 in your collection? I have one with some Karl Nill walnut grips mounted on it. Thanks for sharing and be safe.
When I started shooting in the early 1960's gun cases at shops were MOSTLY revolvers. We had Colt 1911's and the 39/59 S&W nines, and .22's. Bullseye shooting was still popular so lots of Target .22's.
Congrats on the collection. Now you need something old school in there.
You might be able to talk to one of these guy in this thread into selling you one of theirs.
