I started out loving Glocks, and other pistols and currently my wheelhouse is handgun caliber lever guns. I started with a couple of Winchester 92's in .44 mag, then a couple of Marlins in .357 mag. Now the latest, a Marlin in .45 Colt.
I don't remember the last time i had so much fun just cycling the action of a gun.
I recognize the downsides (not as accurate as a bolt or semi auto, nor as reliable, not as far reaching) but the fun factor is incredible.
They do have their appeal, hard to deny. Makes sense to get them in handgun calibers. I remember there was some buzz years ago when folks felt an AR ban was coming after some tragedies ... there were articles how the lever action would be a "safe" gun to get as a bit of insurance.
I don't own a lever action, but can def see one in my future. The good ones seem to hold their value well, you agree?
If y'all are lookin' for a "Fudd approved" rifle in lieu of your Evil Black Rifle as a hedge against future bans, I'd suggest a Marlin 336. You can usually find one down at Wally World for under four bills in .30-30. Ballistics are similar to the 7.62x39, but the ammo cost is much higher naturally. Pair it off with a .357 Maggie in a 4" length and you have a carbine/sidearm combo that's pretty low profile but still useful.

I only have a Winchester Trapper in .357 and a Browning BL-22 -- but I love them. They're nice and flat, simple to operate, and point nicely.
Not to bring zombies into the discussion, but I'm surprised the "The Walking Dead" TV program doesn't show more people with lever actions. There are a bazillion of them out there...

I don't hunt, but I have several decent scoped bolt actions that would be great for deer hunting and such, but my passion is lever guns. I don't have many, but there are a bunch that I'd love to have. I grew up at time that there was a western or two on television, literally, every day of the week. If you saw a long gun of any kind, it was either a lever gun, usually Winchester, or a double barrel shotgun. Taylor's and Company has some nice looking repros of the early Winchesters. I've never handled any of them, but I'd sure love to.
Well...git your money ready as Henry just announced they will offer a lever-action .410 shotgun early next year...if it sells, look for other gauges to be next
I'm not sure why you think lever actions aren't as accurate as bolt actions or semi-autos. Lever action rifles are some of the most accurate firearms I've shot and owned. As for far reaching, they do make them in large rifle calibers. I'd really like to get a Winchester 1895 in 30-06 or 7.62x54r some day.
Generally they're not as accurate. A good bot gun can easily shoot under an inch at 100 yards with good ammo. Perhaps a lever gun could do the same on a good day but I think consistently bolt guns are more accurate.

The lever-gun fever is real, indeed. My affliction goes back a long, long time to the purchase of my first Marlin .30-30. Growin' up in the 40s and 50s when western movies were so popular made me a natural lever-gun fan.
Cowboy action shooters slick them up to near semi-auto speeds. Or faster.
Uberti '73s seem to be the majority, followed by Marlins and then Rossi '92s.
You need a rimfire or two. 9422 and a 39
You need a 30-30 because... history and deer.
Pistol caliber and a Trapper barrel, you need
Single shot 1885 in a real rifle caliber (very accurate, so don't fall for that not accurate crap)
Shotgun? Sure. They make them too.
Bear gun? Of course... 45-70.
But remember to tell people... THEY has the SUCK! Get an AR15. and smile.
