Has anyone tried the Ghost Edge in the G43? Would like to smooth out the trigger on my G43 but I don't want to compromise safety as this is a home and carry gun. I would change the connector only which I think would not make for to light a trigger. Opinions please.
I have on my G42 and it did help smooth it out some. It did not compromise safety in any way by making the trigger overly light. You can safely carry it with the Edge connector installed.
I think it depends on which G43 you have. Early models, from my understanding here at GT prior to April-ish this year, have a heavier pull and connector. Glock changed that, and newer models come w/ a lighter pull. I didn't know that and bought an Edge for mine, which turned out to have the newer connector. Didn't change it at all from what I could tell. So I think depending on which factory connector you have, it might, but I'd suggest just finding a Glock amorer and have them get the updated connector from Glock and go that route.
I believe the G43 I have was of a recent run. I read on a post the the old connector was 33215 new was 33564 and that was the lighter trigger. My connector is 33363 but it feels like a 8# trigger. I put an Edge in my 19 carry and I feel it is very safe. Again it was a connector only change.
Is that the trigger bar or the connector with 33363 ?
The other 2 numbers are the ones I've seen mentioned here, for the connector. A google search seems to indicated 33363 is the trigger bar, not the connector.
So my thought is if you have the older part number, first choice, get the newer glock part from a local Glock armorer if you can. Second choice ghost edge connector. But if you have the newer part number above? Not worth it and no difference between the ghost and stock.
I have the ghost connector in my G43. I have few thousand rounds on that, and it's much better than the original connector when it came out of the box. I've ordered the new connector, and should get a chance to get it put in this weekend. I'd rather have the factory part.
I wouldn't use the edge personally. Also side note edge connector doesnt work in glock 30S! not sure if it works with any .45 acp glock either just fyi.
I have the Ghost Edge and the SSVi trigger shoe in my G43. I am happy with the setup and it pulls at a smooth and crisp 5#. I have over 1500 rounds through it with no hiccups.
FWIW, I use the Zev connector on all of my other Glocks. I used the Edge in my G43 only because it was recommended by Damon at SSVi with the Tyr shoe in 42/43s.
My experience also.
In my G42, replacing the Ghost Edge connector with the new Glock 33564 connector, only increased the trigger pull by about 1/4 lb but made the pull much crisper. Having tried them both, I shoot better with the 33564.
I can't say because I have not tried the Ghost connector in my G42 and G43. I will say, I like the triggers on my G42 and G43 better than most of my other Glocks, save perhaps my Gen 4 G35.
I do suspect part of my feelings for these stock triggers is I am usually shooting my Kahr 380 along side. Nothing will make your Glock triggers feel more like a good 1911 than shooting a Kahr 380 on the same trip.
One need also remember that all parts, even the same brand are not always equal, whether oem or aftermarket you may have subtle differences.
My ghost edge is great in my 43, but there is no guarantee that if I ordered another today that it would feel exactly the same.
That goes for oem connectors as well.
I ordered 3 *--* connectors at the same time and tried all three in my G4 19. Two felt identical while one felt a little different and even failed to reset the trigger a couple of times. All 3 look identical to the naked eye.
I'm living with a similar problem with two G42s. One has a very Glockish break; the other has some early resistance and then a lighter break. I changed out the connector on the second one today with another OEM part, and the trigger remains unchanged. I'd prefer them to have the same break, so it won't matter which one I carry.

Well that all good and fine as long as you carry your glock in a ridged holster even for pocket carry. If you carry in a soft holster for pocket carry I wouldn't change to a light trigger pull. JMHO

I have the same situation. I swapped the slide/bbl assemblies between the two guns and nothing changed, so it must be something in the connector or trigger assy.
Just installed the Ghost Edge in the 43. Not that much difference. Nice reset and the break is not as coarse. By no means is it light. Will be shooting it Monday and report back. As for the old OEM connector it has no markings so I would have to think that the number the trigger bar which I said was 33363 my be a connector #. I don't think any of my other trigger bars have a number on them.
My question is if the connector is not marked how in the hell can you tell which you have. Or am I missing something. I will get out the magnifying glass and look for the "-". Thanks
Jim, I posted elsewhere about the difference between my 42s, and put a spare 33215 connector in the one with the lighter, creepier trigger. Now both seem to have identical triggers, with more resistance and a wall before breaking. I want to do some more research on this, including using a spring scale and checking which connector is in the 42 that originally came with a decent trigger.
Test hopped several 42s and a 43 at a LGS; all seemed to have triggers more like the 42 with the good OEM trigger. It may be nothing more complicated than mfg tolerances.

Thanks, keep us posted!
I've noticed that my G42/43 triggers can change considerably over the first thousand rounds. Some get lighter and/or smoother, others actually get heavier and/or grittier. Others don't change much.
Detail strip/clean/lube sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't.
:headscratch:
Quick update; both the G42 with all original parts and the one that now has the 33215 connector share an identical 5.5lb trigger pull with a firm wall and a clean break.
I'll tear down the one with all OEM and see what's in there.

I have the Ghost Edge Connector in my 42 and 43. They really helped me in shooting the little pistols. I recently purchased two of the 33564 connectors and the pull was not improved. I would recommend the Ghost Edge which made the pull in my pistols the same as my standard 26 and 19.
Personally I've had nothing but problems with Ghost products. I have a glocktriggers product in one 43 and a Suarez Patrol in the other. Both are highly recommended.
Be careful.
There's a 55+ page thread on ar15 regarding Glock flat triggers. General consensus is the SI triggers(can't remember if it was tac or patrol) is not drop safe. They remove too much pretravel and the safety is defeated.
