A friend Carry's his p238/938 style firearm in his pocket, cocked, but not locked. And compared it to carrying his Glock 43 with a round in the chamber.
Pros and cons to this style of carry. I personally don't think it's safe and is not a good way to carry.
I traded in a Sig 238 because I felt uncomfortable carrying a pocket pistol in a cocked and locked manner. Yes it's probably safe to do, and if you have any reasonable experience with firearms you shouldn't have any issues. Nevertheless i didnt feel comfortable doing it so I traded it for a G42.
I think it's a bit too risky, though hopefully it is in a stiff well-moulded holster with a good trigger-guard. As I get older, I find myself wishing for a safety on my Glocks. Since I bought the 238, I'm used to the action of flicking off the safety.
Kentak, I like that except for in one scenario...where a quiet draw is needed to be at ready without being noticed.
