My dad left me several Ruger revolvers when he passed. Only one was engraved. The Super Blackhawk .44
After calling Ruger, and getting info off of the Ruger forum, this SBH was not engraved at the factory. My brother & I, never knew of this pistol, until we started going through the collection.
As far as I can tell, it was never fired. It does have a faint line on the cylinder from being turned previously. No paperwork, just the pistol and the wood box in the pic. I am going to keep it. I removed the left grip and found "Ajax #30" marked on the grip. I am sure they are plastic.
Anyone have any details they wish to share with me about the SBH? Production, value, etc...
With the 80 in the beginning of the serial number, Ruger told me it was made in 1972.
