Yes, I suppose I should have elaborated. Most of all, I loved the sights and the really great RFT2 frame (which didn't slip in my hand at all, despite a lot of sweat caused by the very humid/hot conditions). It also ran smooth as butter and was a soft shooter.
(BTW: not a Vickers class, though I'd like to take one at some point.)
My non Vickers Gen 3 G19 has fired over 6000 rounds in classes with Paul Howe, Mike Pannone, Steve Fisher, John Murphy, Kyle Defoor, and Jeff Gonzales (1380 in that class alone), among others. I've never worried about its performance, only mine.
Not an LAV hater. His name is on a lot of good products that I own. No desire to train with him, though.
Have to say the grey LAV 19 is my favorite pistol I have ever owned.
Only fired about 800 with mine so far. I *****ed about the sights at first but like them better than triji hd now.
Everything about this pistol is just great. I am anxiously waiting for the next LAV Glocks to become available. Need one more 19.
The other 400 rounds were with my FNS-9c, which I carry in the non-summer months. I don't really use my G19 for SD or HD, but I think highly of Glocks and think "everyone" should have some experience with the G19. It's just a terrific, reliable all-around semiauto pistol. (One never knows when one might find himself in an unexpected spot having to handle/fire a Glock...)
I hadn't had a chance to really put my Vickers G19 through heavy (ok, semi-heavy) range time, so I decided to use it for the second half of the class.
I'm also now sold on blacked-out rear sights with a fiber optic or tritium front. I asked LAV on his Facebook page if he was planning to release similar sights for the HK VP9 which is my favorite gun. And he said he was...

I wonder when we will see them. Considering Vickers sights are produced and marketed by Wilson Combat, I would imagine that they would have to cleared by Wilson before being made. I wonder how big the market would be. I'd love a set for both my VP9 and VP40, but they are LE models that currently wear the standard Meps so I'm not sure I would spend the extra money.
Congrats on getting training. Something many here aren't willing to do for some reason.
