Polished my Glock

I picked up some polishing stuff along side a dremel to fix up the rather mediocre finish of my new Ruger SP101. While I was messing around with it all I figured I'd give my old 19 a bit of a spruce up.

I also did the famous 25 cent trigger job on it and don't really notice a ton of difference, though my 19 has always had a pretty smooth trigger to start with. Guess I got lucky

You must have done more than just a little "polishing" if you turned a Glock OEM barrel (and LCI extractor, slide stop lever, slide lock, trigger pin, and locking block pin) white. I'd be put off by that, especially the barrel...put off as in "not seeing any benefit to weapon function".

WRT the SP101: I love my SP101 in .357MAG and 3-inch barrel. It's my favorite handgun after a G31 and G33.

Soaked the parts in vinegar for a few hours to strip off most the bluing. Then I went over the barrel with a bit of polishing stuff with a rag. The harder parts got a low speed buff with the dremel. It's not quite a mirror finish. More like a satin stainless.

I really like my SP101. I was a bit disappointed it came scratched and uneven from the factory, but being stainless meant it was fixable. I managed to get it looking good. Just need to look at a spring kit for it.

I don't think any of those parts would rust because of the nitride treatment, But being in SE Florida, I don't think I want to take any chances. But it makes the 19 look sharp. Good Job.

Great job on polishing. I used Flitz polish on my S&W 686 Plus revolver. It really made a difference in the overall appearance almost chrome like. Enjoy and be safe.
