I have been wanting to purchase another 9mm handgun (my other is the M&P9 shield)
Years ago I owned a Glock 30 but traded because the grip was just too chunky, but I've always liked Glocks
I went to my local firearms dealer and after looking at other 9mm handguns, I bought the last G19 gen4 they had and I am very happy so far!
The 19 will be mostly a home defense and range gun but I am also going to carry some as my CCW. I also added the Streamlight TRL-4 which I am also very happy with.
It feels good to be a Glock owner again, it's been a long time coming!!
I plan to add fiber optic or tritium sights and maybe an extended slide stop lever. As far as the trigger pull, I'm happy with it stock.
Just installed Tru-Glo TFO Night Sights. Have to get to the range to check them out. Had Tru-Glo Fiber optics on my Advantage Arms 22cal conversion
They worked just fine, I put the factory sights back on. I put the front fiber optic on my G-17L, For a range gun this combination is the best of both worlds. I'm not like a lot of people, I like the factory Glock sights. I widen the gap on the rear sight, makes it easier for my old eyes to center the front sight.
I like the Fiber Optic up front, and a widened rear sight.
If I can find someone that sells just the front sight, I'll put them on several more guns.
I too added a G19 gen4 to alternate with my other carry gun, a Shield 9. With a good IWB (SuperTuk or KingTuk) they are pretty easy to carry and conceal even in the heat of summer. Having 15+1 is a lot of firepower. Also added TruGlo TFX Pro sights.
I now understand why the G19 is Glocks best selling model.
Here is my new Glock 20. My first Glock. Nice 9mm though, it's cute for a little guy. 10mm is where it's at, I used to love 9mm but I've fallen in love with the 10mm.
Congrats to you too Julie. The G-19 is a fine choice, I have a G-19, and a G-23, both about even with me, I'll carry one or the other when I leave the house. The 23 is usually on the night stand, and the 19 on the end table next to me to greet visitors at the front door.

Nice choices. In the circle of life thing, you may own a lot of firearms. Today I say the Glock 19 is perfect but next year a move might make a AK-47 a better choice or a Ruger Blackhawk.
Wise decision. I've had my G19 3rd gen for 10 years now and it has never failed me. I recently added a G27 as my new CCW. What a great little gun. Very easy to conceal especially given the warm weather here in Florida. Got both X-Grips from the Glock Store.com so now I can load a full G22 or G23 mag in addition to the 9 round G27 mag. Good luck with your new G19!

Yup, I have the same gun (not the TRL on this gun) and I love it. It shoots like no other and I am just as happy with it today as I was when I purchased it over a year ago.
I also have a 19/4 w/TFX Pro sights and a TLR-1.I took off the backstraps and just use the std. grip.I am not sure how this is in size, just fits my hand better. They are great pistols.
I added some Trijicon HD sights and they really do well. I'm going to add them....or TruGlo TFO sights to all my Glocks.
That G19 shoots well for me and I have zero complaints.
Once you learn the Glock trigger and how to ride the reset at the range you will likely be very pleased at how small your groups are on target.
Great carry weapon with the right holster, great night stand gun, affordable to shoot often, solid defense loads offered, accuracy is there, what is not to love about it ?

Welcome back to the fold, awesome looking gun. Can't go wrong with a g19 or any other Glock for that matter. Congrats.
