This is Murphy...you'd never know he broke his femur when he was 6 months old (he's 2 yrs now)

Here are our two pit mixes, Malibu on the left, and Cisco. Both rescues from a local shelter.

Because of owning pitbulls, we started an organization for public education and rescue assistance, Harrisburg Pitbull Association. We attend local adoption events to educate the public about these great dogs. And we use social media to assist local rescues find homes for their adoptable pitties.

So I decided to look through here and see if I had ever posted a pic of my dogs, I went from front to back, looking, until I saw the mid 2006 time period and realized that by then, we were between dogs, so to speak.
These were the dogs we got shortly after we were married back in'88, first the Shepherd/Border Collie mix, Azhia, then a year later, the Shepherd/Rottie/Timber Wolf mix, Mox. They traveled the world with us, and this is a pic of them in our yard in La Maddalena, Italy. The big boy died there and is buried in Italy, and the little gal made it back to the 'States with us, before she went on in 2002.

It wasn't until about mid 2006 that my mom passed and left me her little (actually big, for the breed) Sheltie, Hope. We cared for her and adored her until she passed a couple of years ago. She was a pain in the ass, but what a fine pain in the ass she was! I'll see her again some day...

We waited a respectful month before we headed down to The Collie Rescue of the Carolinas and got these two, Milo and Layla:

Let sleeping dogs lie...
