Not trying to start a caliber debate here by any means.

I have a g26, keltec pf9 and am debating on getting a lcp (it's only $230)

I can practically carry the pf9 anywhere in a smartcarry holster and am on the fence if a small .380 even has a place in my carry rotation.

I have nothing bad to say about the lcp. But I got rid of it because I wanted to keep my hand guns in 9mm.

Another option in 9 could be a kahr cm9 or cw9. I just picked up a cm9 today for 340 otd. If you don't plan on pocket carrying the cw9 might be a better option.
Just recently got a pocket holster (Recluse) for my PM9. It fits fine in 5.11 type front pants and shorts pockets and in my hiking shorts pockets, even loose jeans. It is more noticeable than a P380 in the same pants, but it is doable and I am not a big guy. No way the PM9 will fit well enough in tighter jeans or dress pants though.

Man, some folks seem to have watch pockets that are conveniently huge.

The watch pockets in all of my jeans can hold my occasionally carried pocket watch ... or, a challenge coin and a movie ticket stub, or sometimes my smallest 2-blade penknife.

I carry my Bodyguard every day, either pocket carry or in an ankle holster. In colder weather the G26 will go IWB with the BG on the ankle.

I've tried carrying the wife's XDs IWB, and while it might just be the kydex holster, found it doesn't feel as good (to me) as the G26.

Neither the G26 nor XDs work for me for pocket carry, both print like crazy. The BG on the other hand, just disappears.

Would I prefer to carry a 9mm all the time, compared to a .380? Nope, at the range I would be using any of them won't really matter about the caliber.

If confronted by a herd of zombies, sure, would rather have the 26 as I can reliably make 25 yard shots with it but if an attacker is that far away would not take the shot and would be running like hell.

I don't pretend to have a crystal ball.
That will tell me when, where and how a self defense situation will unfold.
But short of a Zombie Apocalypse.
It's hard to imagine a car jacking, armed robbery or home invasion where I'm shooting at 25 yard targets.
I don't have 25 yard rooms in my apartment - LOL!.

I'd prefer to be carrying the largest caliber highest capacity gun I've got if I need to use it.
But my LCP is effortless to carry and I'm deadly accurate with it
