Hey good folks,
My favorite gun shop has a bunch of Sig M11's for $749.95. I already have a P228 so should I get an M11 or move on to something else?
Thoughts on the M11 will be most appreciated.

~Thanks, John

I used to have a P228 from the 90's. I went shopping for an M11-A1 to try and 'recapture' what I liked about the P228...but I found the milled-slide, P229-based M11A-1 to be a bit bulkier and more 'bloated' (for lack of a better term) than the original stamped-slide P228. I wasn't looking for a main carry gun, but still it seemed too bulky for a 'compact' pistol. Plus, my state already has a 10-rd magazine limit. I got a new P225A-1 instead. I still may be on the lookout for an original P228 again, though.

I have a 228 and M11A1 and would still buy the M11A1, it's a fantastic gun out of the box. Granted, my 228 is a late model, a German 228 slide mated to a German made 229 frame but the M11A1 is the better of the two IMO. Until my Legion, it was my favorite and if not for the smooth Legion trigger, it still would be. My fantasy gun would be the M11A1 with the smooth Legion trigger.

As far as the 225-A1, had one as well and though it's a good gun, its a large, heavy single stacked 9mm....might as well have a double stacked gun. The 225 is larger than say the Shield, G43, PPS M2 and almost the same size/weight as a 229. Makes no sense as a concealed carry or outside carry. Just my .02 after having owned one.

A single stack mid size gun makes sense for people with smaller hands.
