Cera-Plate II by CCR

I recently had a very positive experience with CCR in Tennessee and wanted to share it with the forum. If this is the wrong place, please forgive me.

I decided to have my G22 slide refinished and decided on CCR’s Cera-Plate as they were offering a very attractive price on what I was looking for. They had a summer sale going on and I didn’t want to miss it. I contacted them and spoke with Mary there. She was very helpful and assisted me in getting everything setup. I opted to have only the slide done although Mary told me they would do the extractor with the slide for me and could have the barrel done for a slight upcharge. I liked the idea of leaving the extractor and barrel black.

As it turns out, I ended up losing track and forgot to send my slide off and missed the summer sale date window. I called Mary again and she was sweet enough to still honor the sale price for me……something that she didn’t have to do. She quoted me a two-week turn-around time from the time they received me slide.

I sent my slide off and they received it on Monday, 7/11/16. I even received an email from Mary that my slide had been received and everything was set to go. On Wednesday, 7/20/16, I received a second email from Mary indicating that my slide was packaged up and being sent off. She also provided me with a tracking number.

I received my slide yesterday, 7/22/16. It was very well packaged and received without issue. When I opened it up, I could not believe how good it looked. It was a total of 10-days from the time they received my slide. That is outstanding for a slide refinishing job…especially one as well done as CCR's!

Here are some photos of my newly refinished Cera-Plate II slide. I’ll add one pic of my factory finished 17 for comparison. Thank you CCR for a job well done!!!!

Wow. Most often you hear about the nightmare of taking months instead of weeks for turn around. They really do great work. Sometimes I think they bite off more than they can chew. But after seeing the end product, most people forget about the wait.

Have spoken to Mary a few times. Very nice lady.

Looks like a great job and they sound good to do business with.

It's worth the wait. Other than my duty weapon every Glock I own has been touched by CCR. :)

I usually get the barrel done too.
I also have had two SIGs, an FN and an HK redone by them.
Probably going to send a Beretta in for a full CPII/Nikote job as soon as I find a beater Beretta I want.

Thanks everyone. They had a sale going and it was only $75 for a Glock slide during this one.

I am very happy with it. Put 50 flawless rounds thru it yesterday and it cleaned up very easy.

Most of mine were on imageshack, long gone but I took some recent ones that should be on photobucket.

Also I Bought this gun in Dec 2015 Had Night Sites put on .

Will the Company take the Sights off ? then Replace the same sights after Refinishing?
