Would G-24 barrel work in a G-35? I want to possibly use this in USPSA Limited division. Any idea? I know the barrel will stick out farther than the slid, but would that be possible? I like my G-35, but thought that might be something to consider for roughly a half inch more of barrel. Thanks for your time.
Thanks to this 'dude', I have the same conversion barrel in my G35. I had the barrel shortened just a bit so the thread protector (had it threaded, too) is right where it's supposed to be. I was going to go with a G40, but I get a faster bullet, this way, and less recoil.
The 6 inch guns in Limited are for longer slide length and sight radius. I don't see what a longer barrel on a shorter slide is going to buy you. I've gone to single actions for Limited. The CZ TS is about as good as it gets in an out of the box single action trigger without spending $1500 - $3000. It can knock the wings off a fly too.
Thanks for the help, sorry I did not reply earlier. I knew the G-24 slid had a better sight radius, but I am doing all this on a budget and thought that maybe the longer barrel would just be better accuracy overall. I just have to limit my spending and make sure that if I buy a 6.02 inch barrel to put on my G-35 it will function (like a Glock, all the time that is) and since it is KKM be a little more accurate.
Also, would a longer barrel (with the shorter slide) be seen whenever I shoot off a round? I mean, would it interfere with my sight picture, would I see a piece of the barrel when I shoot? I hope this makes sense. thanks. Just trying to think outside the box (I hate that saying) and get any advantages I can for Limited.

Another thing to consider if you are getting a barrel that will extend anyway is a ported one, I had one and didn't suffer from flames shooting up out of it the block my sight picture or melt my front sight post.
The porting isn't as good as a comp by any means, but it does help a bit with flip especially if you're loading your own .40 or shooting hotter factory stuff.
I had a ported 10mm, and I liked it enough, but I did an extended length ported barrel out of a Glock 20, no experience with the 20C that has the ports on the inside of the frame.
Unfortunately, the rules in USPSA Limited do not allow a ported barrel. I am leaning towards a KKM G-35 barrel or the KKM G-24. I noticed that the STI DVC Limited guns only have a 5 inch barrel. My friend, who has been shooting Glocks for years, said that I need to just shoot what I have and relax. I do not intend (at this time) to shoot lead, but thought maybe the longer KKM barrel would be better grouping than the stock G-35 barrel. I do appreciate everyone's views and help.
