I have a set of TFO'S on my EDC G30 and love them except for they don't fit in all my holsters, That being said I been carrying a G43 and would like to upgrade its sights, I was just going to order a set of TFO sights and now I see there is a new version called the TFX can some one explain what is the difference between them.
I don't have any truglos but have been looking at them recently... there are the original TFOs, then came the TFX, then the TFX pro.
The TFO's had issues with the fiber rods coming out and degrading when exposed to solvents.
The next generation, the TFX, encased the fiber rod in a sapphire encasement to prevent that and have an added white ring around the fiber rod on the front sight.
The TFX Pro has an orange front ring as opposed to white and feature a U notch rear instead of a square rear.
The TFX pro's also have a straight, as opposed to rounded rear sight edge to enable one handed manipulation. The TFO's were rounded and I'm not sure about the TFX.
Some other slight differences, like sight length, but those are the biggies.
I've ordered TFX Pros for my Ruger LC9s Pro. Hope they work out...
