I like the MIC holster. But I hate having to take it off the gun in order to take the MIC off my belt. Has anyone come up with a way to keep the MIC on the gun without having to take your belt off? Any ideas?
I put it on and take it off all the time without removing the MIC or belt, just loop the end around your belt or belt loop and push the firearm mic and all through the loop... easier to do than describe.
Thank you all. Yes I too loop the lanyard through my belt then secure the firearm in the mic. I'm trying to find a way to take the whole thing off without removing the mic from the gun.
This is a good topic. My feelings, as I have one for my G26, is to use it along with a belt. Don't tie it to belt loop, as it could pull the belt loop out and not come off. That would be bad! Wear a belt, go around the belt. When done, take belt off. Belt will provide a good anchor for MIC. Lengthen with good quality nylon cord if you have to. Remember, you want it to be anchored solidly so the pull is not violent, but solid.
You can adjust how it comes off with a little heat in the right place.
I use a lanyard tied shorter to get the ride high as I want it , limit movement and pulls the MIC off as soon as it clears the belt and moved forward a small amount.
SC I have one and it serves it's purpose, if you Mexican carry your G-17 (did you get that G-22 yet)?
4 o'clock, would work well tied or affixed to your belt.
