Yeah, I know. I'd like to buy one and give it a try. The Vector is mostly a range toy so if it only jams once or twice per drum I can deal with it. I have OEM mags and other stick mags if the S.E.A.L.S. call. Not sure why they haven't called... probably Obama voters.
You might try contacting sales organizations that support machine guns. They could probably procure one for you during one of the asian companys' manufacturing runs. Who knows when or what cost???.
I would normally say $78 is way too much, but since the 30rd 45ACP mags are about $70 anyway, it's not outrageous. The fact that it's a Promag wouldn't fill me with confidence. I also don't care for the extra bulk of a drum or the trouble carrying them.
I have a hard time picturing a Glock poly mag catch supporting the weight of a .45 drum mag. If you gotta have rotsa shots, go with the OEM stick mags.

I'd be happy with Vector mags. I have been waiting on these to re-appear. I actually have a Kriss on my maybe list, but no way, if the higher capacity mags never materialize.
I saw a picture of a clear 45acp drum mag on a Glock once, I never could figure out who made it.
I was able to purchase some discontinued S&W mags directly from Promag before. Try calling there customer service department when their open, they might have one sitting on a shelf somewhere.
FWIW, Kriss appears to have the stick mags back in stock. I just ordered a few. Have not gotten shipping info, but they showed in stock, and my order took.

edit 05/08: Ordered and shipped within 2 days. mags enroute......yay!!!!!
I have ordered from FireQuest a couple of times before, mostly for ammo and several pmags, and can vouch they are legit. I had considered buying this one myself, but drums are not something I really cared much for having.
