Problem with Weaponworx

Hey guys! I sent in my Glock 34 gen 4 slide to Weaponworx to get some work done to the slide. according to Fedex, Weaponworx received it December 4, 2014. It took until February to get ahold of Calvin to get confirmation that he had actually received my Glock.

Before sending the slide to Weaponworx, Calvin told me that the lead time was 6-10 weeks. Tomorrow marks the SIX MONTH mark and I do not have my slide back. He told me weeks ago that my slide was at the top of the list and that it would be done soon, but still no slide.

Anyone have any similar problems or suggestions?

I'm sick of waiting!

Wow I'm really sorry to hear how all this played out, people like this need to be behind bars.
Since I read this and posted my first reply I sent my G-26 to a shop a couple hours from me and had this work done for less than $300 (frame stipple and frame parts done by someone else)
And the machinist had to send it to someone else to do the Hard Chrome and I've had it back for a few weeks.

Slide was machined and Hard Chrome plated, Trijicon HD night sights installed, (sights & barrel furnished by me) Lone Wolf barrel is ported (2 ports on each side)

My G-43 will be headed there for a little makeover next week.

I'm concerned with the post by the guy who said there was a transfer form laying on top of his gun. Unless the gun is changing ownership through an FFL or the shop is going to return ship it to a different person than sent it. BATF does not require a transfer form. That deal smells to me and I would avoid this guy like herpes. If his medical condition caused the delay and he knew it was going to, an honest shop would have returned the weapons with an appropriate explanation. I sent a 1911 to Ed Brown for some work and it was returned to me with no paperwork involved. The only requirment was for an adult signature.
I'm sure most FFLs run an honest shop, if for no other reason than risking the loss of their license, but every industry has it's share of charlatans.

Sorry, don't mean to dig up an old thread.... I'm dealing with an issue with WeaponWorx where I'm going to have to report my gun as stolen. They have closed up shop, the business owner moved to Texas to work for another FFL holder. He 4473'd my gun to himself when he moved.

Just thought I'd let you guys know in case he has your guns as well.

I would suggest that anyone who has sent firearms to WeaponWorx for whatever reason contact the ATF Field Office in Tucson AZ if they are having problems getting their firearms back.

Note: The ATF MIGHT help, although it's seen as a civil issue. They can work on getting the firearm back to you, however if you pre-paid or the work isn't done, there isn't much they can do about it. I was just happy to get mine back. I'll chalk up the money lost to a lesson learned.

I was curious but I'd rather just get it back. I'm screwed out of the money but hopefully will at lest retrieve the firearms. I have a local smith by me that's done amazing work for less dough. Hard lesson learned, and regardless of how far along these are I wouldn't trust him at all--ever.

I wonder if his current employer is aware of his character?

Here's my Gen 4 19 done locally for about 40% less than Calvin charged, which had he finished would have been something. He did a 20SF chambered 9x25 for me too. Real nice work. He had two Glocks and an AR for 3 weeks.

Hopefully he's in a position where he takes orders from a higher up and has little or no real responsibility.
Best of luck to everyone looking to get there gun/guns back.

I asked for my guns to be returned, supplied the required information and have gotten no responses. I have texted him every day to get a response, no avail. If he doesn't get back to me I'll write a script that sends a text every hour, then every minute until he gets back. I'm screwed out of two grand but just give me my damn guns back jerkoff!

Zer0t,

Wow, very nice handguns your new guy did an awesome job! I don't know what kind of money you are making to simply say "I'm screwed out 2 grand" but that's a lot of money. Im in $800 plus my Glock 17 and there is no way I am letting that go. I spoke today with Jesse James and found out some crazy stuff about that HK USP he did for him last year that he showed off on his IG and Facebook. Pretty much told me that he dealt with the same issues and also one of his friends. There is no way Joe Fazio, CEO of KG Industries should trust someone like Calvin to handle any kind of responsibilities, specially working with the US Navy. I Want my pistol back and a full refund.

Anyone hear back yet? The problem is he shut down his business so where can I go to get my money? I don't make a bunch and 2 grand is meaningful to me but I'm confused on what recourse I have. First I just want my pistols back because that's another 1100 bucks to replace those.

Okay folks, because the site owner has repeatedly said he doesn't want folks using GT as a complaint department for other businesses, I'm going to lock this one now. I won't delete it, so folks can use it as a reference, or you can PM each other with info, but I don't want updates to this thread pushing other threads off the main page.

Good luck, and I hope everyone gets their stuff back.
