Davon Lymon says he's lost some movement in two fingers
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —The man accused of killing Albuquerque police Officer Daniel Webster is asking to be released from jail, according to court documents.
Davon Lymon claims corrections officers at the State Penitentiary are torturing him. He says officers have thrown him onto the ground, into walls, and also have intentionally stepped on his arm that was injured during his arrest.
He says he has since lost some movement in two of his fingers.
Lymon also said officers are trying to feed him foods they know he's allergic to.
It's not clear yet whether a judge will agree to move him to halfway house or a less restrictive facility.
Lymon was in federal court Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to four firearms charges. If convicted, he faces 10 years in prison for each one.
The state has yet to file charges against Lymon for Webster's murder.
