How do you adjust the striker/cruciform engagement?

I'd like to use a Smooth Trigger that I have with my G19 but the cruciform doesn't engage the striker enough and I get multi shots as I let the trigger reset. I've put the stock parts back in for now but I'd really like the smooth trigger better. Do you carefully bend the cruciform up a bit to get more engagement or what? Thanks in advance for any help and pics would be great.

Responded in the other thread also. Normally, the answer is to just replace the trigger bar - it's not an issue of the smooth trigger bar being different than the grooved. However, bending slightly should be fine. A trigger bar is $10 from Glock so if you're concerned, I'd just replace it.

That's kind of what I figured. If it's not engaging enough then bend it slightly upward to get more engagement. I've also been watching some of Johnny Glock's videos which has been really helpful in understanding just how the striker/sear work together.

It's funny how a little problem will cause you to learn more about something then you expected to,LOL.

This video helped me figure out my problem with the trigger reset on my G17. Took out the Lone Wolf connector and replaced it with the oem Glock part and it reset quickly instead of dragging back up. many thanks for the info here.

I think part of the problem was the connector. It wasn't letting the trigger bar reset all the way so I stoned it a bit to give it more room for the trigger bar to reset and all seems well with the smooth trigger now.

What part of the connector did you stone? This is probably the fourth time I've seen someone post this issue and the aftermarket connector was the cause. However, I've not gotten my hands on one so I haven't figured out what about the connector caused the problem.

The flat part below the little nub that the slide uses to actuate the connector. Seems it was sticking out just a touch too far and not letting the trigger bar move up past it during reset. Of course since then I've removed the 3.5# Lone Wolf connector and replaced it with the stock 5# unit so the point is kind of moot right now. Figure my wife can learn with the stock trigger first then if/when she gets the hang of it we can move to a lighter pull if she wants too.
I've also put the NY1 trigger springs back into my Glocks since I've modified my hold and won't get the low/left any more from the heavier pull.
