This is just a quick thread to say how much I like the extended slide lock I just installed in my G/32. It seemed like I was forever fumbling with the factory slide lock and now it's a very positive and easy procedure. Well worth the $10 it cost..
Yes, I agree. I put off getting one for my Glock 30 and finally ordered one and an extended slide release. It just makes it that much more easier to manipulate the controls.
As a G19 shooter I have to agree....But, It did force me to slightly change the position of my right (upper) thumb to insure the slide locks back on the last shot.
While I have also experimented with an extended slide "stop", I was talking about an extended slide "lock"; the slide stop holds the slide back, the slide lock are the two taps on either side that allows for the removal of the slide..
I'll be the oddball. I don't like the extended slide stop or lock. I don't want anything sticking out more than necessary, and I don't find these controls necessary or even particularly useful.
Yeah, I put it on a my 21 and 27 but then took them off. I slingshot during use and just pull the slide back a little if I'm going to use the slide lock and it's being stubborn. More stuff sticking out just wasn't for me but I'm glad they exist for those who want them.

Another "no" vote from me. They got in the way. I had them on all my Glocks, but have since gone back to the standard size. With a thumbs-forward grip, I sometimes nudged them up during the firing sequence causing premature lockback. While I like the idea of being able to manipulate the slide with one hand in the event of injury, reliability is key.
Again, this is about the the two tabs on either side of the barrel, called a slide lock. The tab on the left that holds the slide open is a "slide stop" (sometimes incorrectly called a release) In regards to the after market slide stops, I like the Ghost Bullet Forward Slide Release. Rather than placing the release tab farther back, it moves the tab forward, so it is much harder to accidentally engage it.
I installed extended slide release & extended take down levers on all my glocks. I just found them more convenient! To me, it just feels right! IMO.
