Advertising on GlockTalk.com

Thanks for your interest in advertising on Glocktalk. As one of the largest firearms websites on the internet we reach 120,000 members and 1.5 to 2 million unique visitors every month. To reach this number of unique visitors in traditional print media, you would probably need advertisements in at least 20 separate magazines every month.

We have a variety of advertising options available from 50.00 a month to 25,000.00 a year. Every level of advertising comes with a few basic perks which include; use of the Sponsor Showcase forum, Sponsor added to your user name and we will even start a forum for your company if you want one. Here are a list of the basic ad sizes and costs:

1. The 468x60 banner ad is seen throughout the site and can run 50.00-100.00 depending on the exposure rate.
2. The 728x90 Leaderboard ad in the upper right hand corner is 100.00-300.00 a month depending on the exposure rate.
3. The 234x60 banner ad will soon be in the center of the small ads at the top of the page. There will only be 25 of these spots available and they will each run 200.00 a month. Even once all 25 are sold the exposure rate should be between ½ and 1 million exposures a month.
4. The 75x40 fixed ads are seen on every page load which is currently 15-20 million pages a month. These fixed ads are 2,000.00 a year.
5. The wide skyscraper ads on the side of the page are part of a 25,000.00 a year advertising package. As a forum site the page is read from top to bottom and we have room
6. for a total of 4 of these. The bottom skyscraper ad is currently a proportional ad with ten spots available total. These spots are 300.00 a month each and each ad is seen over 1 million times a month (even when all 10 ads are sold).
7. We offer a mailer service to our members and you can contact us for rates.
8. We will soon have a monthly news letter with advertising opportunities.

We are open to advertising suggestions and we would be open to considering new ideas and offers. We are also happy to discount ad packages. Finally, is some cases we will consider barter for advertising for items we think we or our members could use (some of these items end up at fundraisers for the site).
