Aside from rem/mossy, it would appear, great minds carry similar loadouts!

I was looking at a 20" 7+1 870 today actually.

But i think income tax might be a new rifle....maybe.

That is the BEST looking shotgun.

My 870 tactical shows up this week, but now I want one like that too.

how do you like shooting that Knox stock? I've heard they can be evil on cheek bones.

I think I like it. This is my first shotgun. I'm going to put the regular stock back on an go out again. It did slap my cheek some. I can still feel it a couple hours later. It could be my technique.

Hey Doc is that a metal buttplate? That gun would be awesome with one of those old military bayonet lugged mag clamps.

Here's my new, unmolested, natural, Mossberg 590A1, LE model (51411). I'm going to put a Limbsaver recoil pad, a sling, and a shell carrier cuff on the stock. That's all I plan to do to it.

What's up with the reduced LOP stocks? What does this accomplish?

It makes the gun fit properly when wearing heavy clothing, armor, or both.

If you shoot with body armor/plates on or if you shoot square to the target, ala "CQB" (I do both), it allows a more normal sight picture. With regular stocks, at least for me, it pushes the gun from a LOP of 14" to 15.5" which shoots like crap for me. That's my preference, and my opinion, plenty of folks like the standard stocks...

Or if you're a thick chested MoFo like me!

I run my AR's almost fully collapsed and generally just one click out. I'm much more comfortable with a shorter stock.

I run my AR two clicks out(12" LOP). I prefer a 13" LOP shotgun. I think it partly due to the fact that I am 5'7".

We're the same height...I have my stocks set up the same as yours for LOP.
