Actually, the whole mount is the sight. Because the whole system is down at the end of the barrel, both front and rear sights are crisp to the eye of the shooter. Also, the optimal distance between front and rear sights were calculated to create a perfect pyramid sight picture. With a perfect pyramid sight picture, there is no play between the front and rear sights, so a short sight radius can produce the same precision as a longer sight radius with traditional sights.

My buddy's girl clay-shooting with my 590A1 (It's possible up to maybe 30 yards). I taught her well.

Here's my Saiga 12 with the MD20 drum on it. It took me a little while to get it all "tuned up" but now it is eating up any kind of ammo I can throw at it. Glad I was able to purchase it before the prices starting jumping.

The initial conversion wasn't too rough. Took a few hours. (trigger moved forward, folding stock installed). It is really made as a combat shotgun, so it is designed for slugs, or maybe buckshot, but certainly now wimpy bulk pack bird shot. So it didn't like that at first. (it did love slugs) Upon inspection, two of the three gas ports were covered up by the gas block, so I had to take it all apart, enlarge the hole in the gas block (dremel and file) and I also slightly increased the size of the three holes (up to 3/32). Now, it fires the bulk federal from W-world no problem.

Intimidating semi-auto shotgun. I wouldn't want to take a hit from it. Heck, I wouldn't even want to get poked with the shark brake I've got on the front of it. (pretty damn sharp).

I've got a couple AGP 10 round mags that I like, along with the factory 5 mag from Russia. --

Better hang on to it. I heard from my local shop that these things weren't being imported anymore and that there was some kind of ban on them. Not sure if that's true, but the prices have gone through the roof on these shotguns.

Well, there is no ban on them yet, but there is some truth to the rumor. The BATF is doing a review of some classification, and it is possible that their status could be changed. As a result, there is a holdup of further shipments being imported at the moment.

So technically, it is just a delay. But the uncertainty has really pushed prices up. Now that I have one, i really would love another. (definitely not selling this one). The last few out there at sub-$700 prices are just about gone. And the future is a big question mark.

My local fun shop in town had one in 410 for a long time, I went there the other day and talked to the guy and he said shortly after the rumor/anouncement came out it sold...

After experimenting with various stocks, sights, etc., I think I have finally found the perfect (for me, anyway) non-SBS configuration for a home defense 870. A Remington 18" rifle-sighted, improved cylinder fixed choke barrel, Speedfeed reduced-LOP stock, Sidesaddle, Wilson +2 mag extension, Surefire 618 forend and XS Express 24/7 Big Dot sights.
