MY LAST POST...transitioned from Glock to M&P

Well it's been fun...my LE AGENCY is transitioning us from GLOCK to S&W M&P...the main reasons were ergonomics and pricing... many of our current Gen3 G-22's are 8 to 20 years old...

Really??

You've been a member for a year, made 350 posts, and you feel the need to make a thread about your departure?

Take care...

If owning a Glock was the only thing keeping you here... Then you probably won't be missed.

That's got to be one of the dumbest decisions I have ever heard.....Why would you purchase your own duty weapon that has less magazine capacity than the pistol you were just issued? Doesn't make sense to downgrade to less capacity from your newly issued pistol.

I know my supervisor would never approve any officers to downgrade from our issued Glock 22's. I guess things work differently in Podunk? Since you seem to believe less magazine capacity is better for a duty pistol, don't waste your money on the M&P9c. Do it right and get a single shot muzzle loader, good luck.

"Ergonomics" is hippy talk for, "It's pretty".

I never quite understood members announcing their departure. Who cares?

By the way, here's a little secret... You don't need to be a Glock owner to post on GT.

While I understand people's preferences from one platform to another, I'm one of those who just doesn't "get" the whole M&P and Shield fan collective. They do feel great in the hand, but they don't shoot worth a damn. I'm not being arrogant, either. I am an experienced, proficient shooter, and have adapted to plenty of triggers (even terrible ones)...and the M&P is mediocre at best.

I'm sure he's being facetious. This is the S&W sub forum, after all.

I haven't had a Glock in forever. I just come to GT for cheap entertainment.

I have a SW MP.22 pistol. Does that mean I have to go register and post on the Smith and Wesson forum?
