First post not in GnG or BRF in... years. Wow. Anyway, just sold my P3AT and replaced it with Sig P238. Been wanting to try one on since they came out, but never had any luck finding one locally, until just recently. Had to have it. It's an improvement over the Kel-Tec (which was 100% reliable over a thousand rounds) in every way.
Real sights (and night sights to boot), much better trigger, and a hair heavier, all of which combine to make for much quicker, more accurate hits. Looks a hell of a lot sexier too!
Not sure what pocket holster I'll go with yet, but I'm really digging this for a deep concealment piece. Hope it's 1911ish features don't get me going in that direction

Depending on wardrobe, either a G26 or a PM9 in a Garrett Silent Thinder AIWB:
When the weather cools off, if ever, I'll be carrying a G19 or a Kahr K9 in a CTAC holster.

G26. The right size, just a bit fat. Ordered a Kahr CM9. It's a single stack so much skinnier.

Depends on were I am going, Glock 17 or Ruger SP101. I like the Crossbreed Holster and belt with velcro.

Ruger .357 LCR in a pocket, or belt slide holster. Sometimes I carry two LCR, for a New York reload.

Glock 19 with XS standart night sites(not the Big Dot), TLR-1s, in a Raven Phantom LC. Soon to be joined by a G26 with same sites, to be carried in a Galco ankle glove. That´s for the 9mm.
For the .380 I carry the Glock 25 with Glock factory sites, same light, same holster, back up for her is a .380 Makarov in a local made IWB (extremely good quality).
All of them with Seller & Belliot FMJ ammo.

Hello, I am new to glock talk but I thought I would chime in on this subject. My pistol of choice for concealed carry is a S&W 442 .38+p. It is small enough to carry anywhere and in any situation and there are hundreds of holsters to chose from for any type of carry. The 38+p is not a large caliber but what really matters is shot placement. Plus my revolver never jams, EVER!

Throughout the years I have tried a lot of different options when it comes to concealed carry. First off the most important issue to take into consideration is that it is comfortable to carry. Second, can I draw and shoot with out thought. Third, does it hide with what I am going to wear today? Most major name brands are going to be reliable.
Comfort is key; if it is a hassle to wear all day you’re not going to wear it. It will not help to defend you if you do not wear it. This is a personal preference the carrier has to find out for him/her self. It took me a few years to figure out what is comfortable and realistic to conceal. Try different holsters, positions and you will find that you will have two or three different preferences for the type of dress you wear. Winter, fall, spring and summer usually dictate how to carry.
Practice, practice is essential once you find what’s comfortable you need to practice your draw. I know it sounds silly but it needs to be done. Make sure your weapon is safe, unloaded and you’re in a secure area (can be slightly embarrassing if caught doing the John Wayne quick draw). Practice this regularly in stresses situations our mid brain (dog Brain) kicks in and it will respond to what we know. If you don’t practice and gods forbid you need it, you may find yourself helpless.
Does it hide well; it needs to be concealed to be effective. The Miami vice shoulder rig is cool but a bit unrealistic for CCW. I have three different holsters depending on the season or how I dress. I have three different guns for these occasions as well. When I wear an undershirt with a polo or golf type shirt I can conceal a Glock 22 using an IWB holster. I found the IWB holster and 22 to be comfortable when on my feet but not the way to go if sitting in a car or at a desk. If sitting or driving I prefer the Glock 27 in the IWB holster. Depending on clothes I will carry it next to my hip or under my naval (gangster style) that position took awhile to get use to. (Not a huge fan of having a gun pointed at my little friend) T-shirt and shorts I use an S&W 442 in an uncle mikes pocket holster. The 27’s are a bit bulky and heavy for pocket carry. When I wear jeans and a T-shirt and want the extra fire- power (I am really comfortable shooting the G27 and accurate) I will go with an ankle holster. This is not my favorite way of carry makes.

She'll eat anything that's not crappy reloads. Mine enjoys a steady diet of Federal 115g FMJ, or TulAmmo. Rarely WWB.
