As you'll see opinions are like @$$holes, we all have one.
It really boils down to what fits our hands best and what we shoot best. If that G26 fits you best then you made the right choice.
Stay safe and Carry On!

I really love my G26 too, but when I am able to I carry a .45 fed with JHP ammo like the HST or Gold Dots or whatever. Big difference in the bang; I also own the G30 as well as a few other small .45's that are legal in Canada (though NOT to be carried note) as well as stateside. I don't want to have to worry about leaving my carry stateside and like the opportunity to 'go heavy' as soon as possible after crossing into the states. The feeling of comfort to a person who has been held at gunpoint is beyond words.
My g26 comes with me wherever I go. I wear it whenever it is just not convenient to carry a .45.

Keltec P32 (almost everyday), P11 and G23.
The P32 carries well for me when I bicycle commute to work.
