I am just starting shooting (w/ a G17), and am starting reloading also. I would be interested in locations in the National Forest(s) around Evergreen, Black Hawk where I could shoot. Can anyone provide locations? GPS Lat/lon would be acceptable, but I don't 4 wheel. Just a good sedan.

Well, you need to put a fair amount of capital dollars in to start, but I can reload 9MM Luger for about $0.15 to $0.18 per round. If you can find them for $0.21 per round (which I haven't), it might take a while to recover your costs. I haven't found any for less that $0.25/rd, and many are are around $0.40 or more per rd. Besides, I like to work with reloader! And you then have the capability to customize your loads. If that isn't what you want to do, then reloading can be an expensive proposition.

9mm probably has the lowest savings margin of all cartridges. You can use the same tools to make any other caliber. If you reload 338 Lapua for example, you can save about $5 with every pull of the handle, and the ammo is customized to your rifle. 9mm is a good caliber to learn reloading, even if you don't pay off the equipment right away.

Hope some folks chime in with places in the national forests, I'm curious too

Reloading is definately worth the start up costs if you shoot regularly. I dumped about 1k into getting started. I currently load for 9mm, .40 S&W and .45 auto. I also just started casting. So far I've put around $300 into that. Currently I only cast for .40

I have found 1 lat/long location on a forum, but I have not gotten to it yet. It is near Buena Vista off US285 (a good ride from Denver) at 38.685510,-106.094971 Highway 285 at MM 137 s of Buena Vista.
It has been identified as a Colo Dept of Wildlife range, and has very good revues for a rifle range.

The range in Buene is awesome. Mainly aimed at the rifle shooter, but they also have a couple handgun berms/ranges as well.

No full auto allowed, and that sucks.

There are tons of people that shoot up in Lefthand Canyon west of Boulder. Take the turn west where the Greenbriar Inn is, and drive a few miles until you see the National Forest sign on the left side of the road.
