COPS TV show cameraman shot in Omaha

Heard on the radio that a cameraman for COPS got shot while filming an episode in Omaha last night.

Don't know much more than this. Just caught the tail end of the news.

Anybody know anything?

Doesn't look to good for the cameraman. I hope he pulls through.

Prayers for the cameraman...

Is this the first time this has happened? Kind of amazing this doesn't happen more often...

That is sad. I agree that over the years more of them could have gotten killed.

Prayers to his family and may he rest in peace. At least the bad guy went down first.

damn, how'd they mistake him for the bad guy, or did he cross in front of the cops trying to defend themselves against a bad guy?

also, not knowing where he was hit, don't they wear vests too?

Must have moved into someone line of fire trying to take cover.

I got to practice more with both eyes open, make sure it's a habit. Maybe won't matter with target fixation, but might make the difference under the right circumstance.

Prayers to the family, and also to the officer involved, this is pretty much the nightmare scenario, much harder to deal with than if he had been the over to kill the robber.

Hopefully it was a ricochet or something the officer(s) had no control over.

I think it had to be the officer's rounds because the BG only had a BB gun.

Looks like the officers were firing at the bad guy and hit Bryce on accident. How terrible.

From everything I've read, cops crews have always been stand up dudes and very helpful to LE. Almost feels like we've lost one of our own here.

It sucks all the way around. Prayers for the sound man's family and the officer who fired the bullet. I hope he get counseling for what has got to be the crappiest feeling in the world.

New report say that perp was hit inside the restaurant, ran thru the cops and TV crew to try escaping outside. A bullet hit the audio soundman in the arm and slipped thru his ballistic vest on the side and entered his chest cavity.

Awful.

I thought Fox had cancelled the Cops series after the last season.
