Yes but the space left is for my support hand as already mentioned. It leaves me space to manipulate the light by just moving my thumb, and it keeps the front sight from interfering with my support hand. There will eventually be a T1 on this rifle as funds allow.

Thanks man! I'll probably clean it after LAV's 3 day carbine/pistol class down at Blackwater... Not a big fan of cleaning until it needs it.
