Hey Stick!
Chief finally approved personally owned for patrol. Anyway, how do you like the Magpul stock in your last photo?

Brother its good to hear that common sense prevails at times, even though it took awhile. The Magpul CTR rocks, and one lives on my duty pig, as well another on my training mule.

OK ... one more. I threw her up on the roof after our night shoot a few days ago. After this shot when I was cleaning it, I swapped my 1-point for a Specter CQB 3-point and put a Wilson Ergo-grip on it. I would say it's done, now.

Is that Wolf in those mags? Shame on you for treating your AR like that.

Wolf!?! No. Never. We get cases of Federal American Eagle for practice and range quals. Does it really look like Wolf ammo to you!?! It was a bad point-and-shoot picture with a crappy flash!
Fernman, I had the choice of the small-head or the large-head assembly when I ordered it. I went with the large and a few guys have switched to the large after playing with mine a bit. The larger head focuses the beam a bit tighter and lights objects farther out a little better when compared side by side. The draw-back, obviously, is the tighter beam isn't as fast in dark, CQB engagements, I don't think. I don't use this AR for PLANNED entrys (it has been used on the fly many times, though) or home security duty. I try to get good distance when engaging with my patrol AR, that way I get a bit of an advantage against a handgun. This light set-up works best for me for patrol deployment. That's another reason why I went to the 3-point sling for patrol. I use a single-point for my MP-5 and can hook my single point back onto this AR (I carry it with me), but after searching for a few blocks and through backyards, over fences and walls, the 3-point is the way to go for me again for patrol deployment.

You are better than 99.9999% of all magazine writers. Your evail of your light systems was to the point and useful. I wish more "expert" writers know what you know and write like you write. Thank you!
