The upper is back. Had my FSB shaved locally, and while I have definitely learned my lesson (about having a gunsmith do work that I can do), I am happy it was finished so fast.

How do you like your Alpha rail? I love mine, just debating on an AFG or a VFG.

Just got it installed today, but the first time I picked up the S&W Vtac, I knew I would have one. I liked the look of the 13" more than the 11", but my next upper will be a 14.5" with the an 11" VTAC Alpha. I might switch between the two, to see which I like better.

I don't know about a VFG or AFG. I was thinking about a handstop. Probably custom as the IWC handstop is ridiculously expensive.

Too long for me on a 16" rifle, getting an 11". Oh well, already have a Troy front for it.

I am just so used to 12.5/14.5/16/20 that the 7.5 feels wrong. maybe if i set it up as a pistol.

Just an observation;

I was at an out-door range this past Sunday. A shooter was using an extremely short-barreled AR. Everyone was annoyed by the noise and muzzle blast and moved away from him.

Guy was kind of a ******-nozzel.
