It's the only AR I have decided to keep, and I seriously doubt I'll be getting another to keep it company.

For my needs, other than to just "collect", I have no reason to own more than one.

Here is mine in it's latest incarnation.
I feel like Magpul should be sponsoring me or something.

It's a Coastal LED light that I got from Home Depot a few years ago. Surprisingly it works great and it was only $40.

It's a Nikon 1-4x. I believe as a general rule the objective lens gets larger based on the amount of magnifaction of the scope. But I may not be 100% correct in that

this is an official placeholder for my next build if i can pull it off.
the idea is to do my first build from the ground up. not just slapping an upper and lower together like my previous ebr's but starting with a stripped lower and going from there. now here's the twist.....this is going to be my actual zombie gun. not in the typical gun world "zombie gun" sense, i mean this one is going to be completely and totally literally zombie themed!
and it all started with a magazine article that showed me this little gem.
http://www.eotech-inc.com/products/sights/xps2Zombie
if eotech is jumping on the z-wagon then so am i. lol

The eye piece is a fixed size depending on the brand and model. The objective end gets larger or smaller depending on what is needed or wanted from the scope. If you want a compact scope then you get a smaller objective lens. If you want maximum light gathering for low light hunting then you want a larger objective end.
Most low power variables have smaller objective lens to keep the weight down.

Not really. A lot of higher magnification scopes have larger objectives for hunting in low light but its not necessariliy tied together. Takes Nightforces compact 2.5-10x24 mm scope.
