Its not new. Its the extended butt pad. They run about 20 bucks.

^I love it, same weapon that I plan on building. BCM upper for sure with the magpul stock and mags. What forend and grip are you running though. thanks

Looks like a Daniel Defense Omega rail and Tango Down quick detach stubby VFG?

If you are going to get one for her for recoil reduction it really does not work for that. They look soft in the picture but in fact they are pretty hard. They are good for fine tuning your LOP though.

They are very rigid and do nothing for recoil reduction like pads you'd see on shotguns.

This is very true. I have a couple and I really like them for getting the LOP just right.
