A lightweight is sure nice to carry but I think that a little extra weight helps out when I'm sucking wind trying to make a 200yd shot... Or maybe I'm just making excuses for my portly rifle ...

If I'm shooting at 200-400yds I'm going prone or kneeling where I can lock this lil lightweight down. For me running a lot of classes I like it as light as possible. When you factor 8lbs of armor and another 2 lbs on the belt I try and shave as much as possible from the rifle. This Noveske is a laser, so longer range hits are a non issue. If I wasn't lugging it for 8+ hours and just gaming it, weight wouldn't matter much and I would run my LaRue Stealth or LMT MRP

I couldn't go any longer without posting a pic of my rifles. The Spikes on the bottom is newest addition, above is the rifle I used for multi gun this year currently sans optic....its a dpms lower with a complete YHM upper- shoots so smooth...for optic i am leaning towards a trijicon tr24 accupoint or vortex viper PST. Even been looking to trade one of my favorite 1911s for either. Let me know what you think! :-)

This is Chris Costa's 7.62 predatAR with an OBR barrel. We were talking for a few minutes at Range Day and a group came by for autographs so he handed me his rifle and walked away for like 5 minutes. I didn't mind.

My AR15 Mutt build

Started out with this

Then added a CMMG midlength free float tube and DSA upper w/ DPMS bolt carrier/bolt. No name buffer/spring/charging handle

All together

16" Wilson Combat barrel 1/9 twist M4 profile (very light!)

W/ Magpul Flip ups

W/ 2-8X Nikon M223 scope. I realized the flip up sites were practically worthless so I took those off. It makes for a medium weight rifle that I hope will be able to shoot to 500-700 yards.

I love that carbine ghost, is it a pinned A2X 14.5 middy? I'm waiting on parts to throw together a BCM 14.5 pinned A2X carbine on a BCM lower. later in the future i'll sell my Stag upper and start gathering comps to doa 14.5 BcM middy upper for the stag lower.

Thanks! Yes it is the A2X FH. I love this carbine. It is my favorite AR and the first one I assembled with a stripped lower that I put together.

BCM 14.5 Pinned and welded A2x upper with BCM BCG and gunfighter mod 3 latch on a stag lower. I get a new BCM lower next week, and i'll restore the stag over stag for the time being. Until i buy a 14.5 inch BCM middy upper anyhow!
