Carry in San Antonio Zoo?

I tried to search, but couldn't find it already posted:

Does anyone know if the San Antonio Zoo is 30.06 posted? Can we carry there?

My wife was just there and there was NOT a visible 30.06 sign posted. The last time I was there(July) there wasn't one posted then either. My wife and I are pretty careful about this stuff. If I remember correctly there is some ridiculous "no guns allowed" sign, but we ignore those as allowed by law.

I'm not EVEN setting foot in a zoo without a stout pistol. No pistol, none of my money to feed your jaguars and stuff.

ARM the security officers in the ZOO!

Update: The San Antonio Zoo has no 30.06 as of Saturday, March 1. Not even an improper posting, either.

And the security guards carry a radio and a First Aid kit.

Well, their name-tags said "security," but other than a radio and a bandaid, I don't know how much help they would be. You'd probably have better luck from strangers in the crowd, at least in the short term.

Same here.

I always go with heat where there is wildlife.
I do not want to be tiger food or have to wrestle a chimpanzee,I would rather double tap him with some Gold Dots.

I have carried in SA zoo numberous times, no problemo.

Is the San Antonio Zoo worth the trip?

I'm from OKC, and going to SA for vacation. Have a 9 yr old. Went to Sea World last year, and he loved it. Can't decide if I want to go to Sea World again, or the zoo?

Thanks

I think the SA zoo is one of the nicer ones I've been to, they have lots of interactive stuff for the kids, cool exhibits, etc. I would suggest packing a lunch with you, lots of nice places to sit an eat, and it will definately save you a couple bucks. There was some construction going on in the Africa exhibit last time I was there, don't know if that has cleared up by now or not. Also, make sure that you guys take the train ride around the zoo!

Sorry to bump an old thread. But just curious if there is still no 30.06 at the zoo. I did a google search and most threads were at least 2 years old on other forums.

For the safety of Zoo guests and our exotic animal collection, the following is not allowed on Zoo grounds: No pets
No glass containers
No alcohol
No balloons
No skates
No bicycles
No smoking
No ice chests but small 6-pack size, soft-sided coolers are fine.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments, please stop by the office, or give us a call at (210) 734-7184.

Not compared to the zoo in OKC. Go to Sea World, or better yet, go on the Missions Trail and see the old missions, the original dam on the San Antonio river and the aqueduct.

No 30.06. I've been there several times with grandchildren.

Sea World San Antonio is 30.06 regardless of whether or not it is considered an amusement park. The sign is free-standing. Can't remember if it is in the front of the parking lot just before you cross the street to the entry plaza area or if it's directly in front of the entry plaza; either way, it is posted.

Don't worry, security have batons and most have spare tires...
