You know if you hook a wrag or towel to the wheel so it flops as the wheel spins and the dog bites it it will do a number on him! OUCH!

Sometimes the Dungeon staff will slip a TWO-handled beerstein in front of an inebriated 10-Ringer (pardon my redundancy) and watch the puzzlement on his face as he considers which hand to use to chug it.

1) Dog is Great Dane or larger

Clever repartee'! ... indeed worthy of a salacious 10-Ringer (pardon my redundancy).

Maybe it gives the dogs something to sniff!

I suppose in the grand scheme of things, it all adds to the realism of the scenario.
I recently found myself in this very scenerio while trying to serve a few indictments. I find it a bit disconcerting to have a very large pit bull sniffing on something that I prefer to remain attached to my body. I let him know, without showing fear, that if he were to do anything untoward towards me, it would result in an immediate, fatal case of lead poisoning.

I suggest you get with the times, Bull. Lead is passe'; tungsten is the new wave!

While it may be the new wave the sheriff isn't hip to it yet. Lead is what he gives me.

Does a pit bull understand the concept of lead poisoning?

The 10 Ring

If dogs are so smart, why do they always lose at chess?

I don't care if he understands or not as long as he leaves the jewels be. If he don't, he will have a quick, short, final tutorial on it and I am sure he will flunk the test.

Because they cannot master timeclock management late in important tournament games.

That is one of the few advantages dogs have when playing against humans in chess tournaments: the rules preclude only HUMAN players from piddling on the board!
