Sorry, I missed the bit about the chilled beer pipelines, I musta been drunk at the time. As far as the Logoon girls go the reason I was was hoping that you or Mongo would take care of it is because they kind of frighten me. What can I say. Oh I know

Good work, Q!

Don't worry about the Lagoon Girls... i'llllll take care of them! ;*

I know, it's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it... and hey, it's not a thankless one!

Q, did you nail down the band yet? Mick said he wants to play the Ring while he's still alive. He also said he'd pay us for the privilage.

Oh, i almost forgot, it's ok to fill the large pool with your favorite beer. We'll just dig another BIGGER pool for the girls to swim in... with below water level viewing windows and another club pub... "10 Deep"...

Hey, does the Christmas tree look GREAT or what? AWESOME!!! Also, the 10 Ring Lagoon Girls all dressed up like Santa's Helpers really picks up the spirit!

Tazz,

One detail to check before we start excavation for the new swimming pool. Putting that 4th pool in the natural spot in relation to the other 3 would mean we have to shift the 14 satellite dishes to the OTHER side of the marine diesel generator building. No big deal, but it would mean cutting off the signal feeds for a full 8-hour shift. You may recall what happened the last time this happened: the majority of the lascivious 10-Ringers (pardon my redundancy) totally freaked when they couldn't watch their porno movies. Are we TRULY prepared for a repetition of this?

This sounds good to me. We Dungeon Denizens are already ignoring the official 35% authorized embezzlement rate with our current 39% cut of the take. If the officially approved rate is reduced to 32.6% as JG23 suggests, then our self-esteem will be enhanced by the knowledge that our overage has been boosted from the 4% figure up to a 6.4% tally. We would have to stay up late tonight figuring out how to launder the extra vig; could be a REAL test of our creativity. MONGO! Set up a case of '61 Lafitte Rothschild for our all-nighter. We now have a PROJECT!

Permit me to interrupt the planning for the 8:40PM 2nd anniversary blowout with a request to resolve an

IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUE WHICH REQUIRES ADJUDICATION BY THOSE 10-RINGERS CAPABLE OF SOME SEMBLANCE OF ADJUDICATORY ACTION

Background: We lowly Dungeon types had just finished up a Castle Antrax Annex punishment session ... (Rabbi! Keep that secret!) ... Whoops! You're right! ... A horrible degrading humiliating Dungeon punishment session meant only to amuse the 10-Ringers. We decided to wander down to the range to plink a bit with our 30s, to sort of unwind after the oral s ... Whoops! ... after the agony of the 10-Ring inflicted regime! We bribed the 10-Ring security people to let us out ... Well, actually, we didn't BRIBE them; we just showed them how to balance their capital gains for this year with some tax-dodge shelters the Dung Cru worked up to prevent their having to pay any tax next April, which was a neater trick than you might think, because they had followed our investment advice all this year, so they didn't have any capital LOSSES to offset the gains ... (Rabbi, back to the original point, please.) ... Oh ... yeah ... okay!

We hauled along the newly arrived merchandise shipments for the 10-Ring Gun Shop; we found we can maximize our administrative efficiency by using the time spent waiting for our 45s to reach the targets by scanning the newly arrived items into our current inventory. One item, however, caused us to pause.

Per instructions from the 10-Ring Board, we have rigorously avoided stocking any aftermarket barrels, etc., made to convert 20s and 29s to that OTHER caliber ... you know, that "other" caliber which also starts with a 4, but lacks the noble history and pedigree earned by the 45 over the course of almost a FULL CENTURY! Hey! Some things the Penthouse and Dungeon CAN agree on!

The item that transfixed our attention: A beautiful Barstow stainless ported barrel for a 20 ... in 357Sig! It was a work of art, thick-walled due to the smaller internal barrel diameter, stunning in its carefully crafted weight and glistening reflectivity, and truly worthy of the aesthetic standards of the 10-Ring!

We realize, of course, that the bullet diameter is actually that of a ... a ... damn! My fingers are incapable of even typing the name of that round so demeaning to the honor of our facility ... I will simply call it "para"! 357sig may be the same size bullet as "para", but we realized that the 357sig is actually a "para" with a full-blown ATTITUDE! This just might earn that barrel a place in the 10-Ring facility, for ATTITUDE is, of course, a pronounced attribute of the complete 10-Ring existentialist outlook.

We finished the inventory update without making any decision on this barrel; we will await the considered adjudication of the 10-Ring membership on this issue. Please transmit your decision in triplicate to the Castle Anthrax Annex; we will dutifully implement it between punishment sessions.

Respectfully Submitted,
The Senior 10-Ring Dungeon Resident

Here's your answer in triplicate:

No, No, No.

If it ain't .400, it ain't a 10... and if it won't launch a 180 grainer over 1300 fps, it's anticlimactic. In other words, it's a noticeable or ludicrous descent from lofty ideas or expressions to banalities or commonplace remarks.

Now, back to the dungeon with you!

G33, lock up the monkeys and bring me the girl. I put a new car in your garage, i hope you like it.

Spamurai, you can learn a few things from G33!

And so spake the Oracle, dissith not the Venerable 9MM Parabellum, lest ye be dissethed yourself. Nor shalt ye dissith the .45 ACP lo tho it be ancient and slow. Nor shalt ye dissith the .40 S&W lo tho it be small and weak it hath exaulted parentage. Rather let ye despise the .357 Sig for it be named for Sigmund Freaud, and it be the mutant bastard child of the .40 S&W and the Venerable 9MM Parabellum. Also let ye know that it hath demonstrable tendancies to KaBoometh the most honorable and exaulted launching platform of the wise and knowledgable Glock Talkers, the Glock.
And thus spake the Oracle

Actually, Tam, you timed your arrival correctly. The 10-Ring has an extensive list of events for the holiday season, and your place as an 8:40PM thread plank owner gives you an honored position in the festivities.

The events scheduled so far:

The "Weekend Before Christmas" Orgiastic Bombastic Blowout

The "Monday before a Wednesday Christmas - what a totally useless workday!" celebration

The "All-Day Christmas Eve Wind-Down to the holiday itself" bachanall

The "Christmas Day Observance and Celebration of the Noble 10mm Tradition" Get-Together

The "Post Christmas Recover some semblance of coherent thought" soiree'

The "Three Day Weekend between Christmas and New Year's" Blast (peak physical conditioning recommended for this event)

The "Monday before a Wednesday New Year's Day Why even bother to try accomplishing anything at work!" symposium/revelry combination

The New Year's Eve bash

The New Year's Day bash (blended seamlessly with the previous event)

The Day after New Year's bash (blended seamlessly with the previous two events)

The Fiesta Bowl "hope the game somehow ends in a tie just to stick it to the entire BCS rating system!" tribunal / revelry / inebriation session

A string of 6 pre-parties leading up to the following truly epic event:

The 2nd Anniversary of the Founding of the 8:40PM thread -- number of elapsed days for this celebration not yet finalized

------------------

Additions to this social list will be considered as they are suggested. We do ask that those ideas submitted by a Penthouse 10-Ringer be written down when the author is sober; even pharmacists can't read your inebriated handwriting!
