I have recently been struck with a flash of brilliance.

the John Edwards situation has convinced me that campaign finance in the US needs an overhaul. It seems to me that the Country would be best served with a centeralized "Campaign Bank" It would control the donations and expenditures of all national political candidates. Given the sordid, corrupt, and generally dirty nature od politics, and the average American's views on the subject, this operation should be free of political entanglement and therefore a private enterprise meets the need. Of course the charges for such a service would be considerable due to the distasteful need to deal with politicians, sort of like being a political proctologist. All donations to any campaign would be made directly to the bank and placed in the candidates account, after a service charge, and expenditures paid for, after a service charge, and monthly statements issued, after a service charge.

Now I am sure some clever minds could find a way to make this pay off.

I don't wanna pay ATM fees ever again, and I want free checking for life. If that's OK, count me in.

Great idea CG.

SR, I assume that you are already well under way with the number crunching on this? The usual dungeon admin fee, no doubt?

Let's not forget the monies the media gets from the campaign for advertising these lying poly ticks! We should tap that resource as well, after all that would redistribute the wealth!

The Shadow has a better grasp of economic fundamentals than all of DC.

Speaking of tap, it is about beer:30.

Cheers.

The upper echelons of the Dungeon Finance Operation are scoping out the possibilities. We DO have to be careful; campaign finance funds attract all kinds of unwanted publicity, and we would not want reporters snooping around, which would interrupt the continuity of the 10-Ring Lagoon partying.

If we CAN make it work, the cash haul could threaten to overwhelm the transport capability of the Dungeon Embezzlement Logistics Operation. We just might need to add four heavy capacity secure transport vehicles in order to transport the extra swag down to the counting room. We therefore request 10-Ring acquiesence to a 2-week boost in the embezzlement rate; 39.13% should cover it. We would return the favor by assuming a heavier proportion of the expenses for the Lagoon July 4th blowout. Trust us on this one; we can keep things balanced.

Pretty much what I thought.

You have it covered.

Engineer should be able to help with the heavy equipment.

Perhaps I might add one suggestion: We should enlist the talents of the Swedish Bikini team to perform diversionary tactics so as to distract any unwanted attention. Baby oil and some tarps are the only equipment needed. So funding requirements are minimal.

But, of course. The well known addage comes in to play,

"It takes money to embezzle money"

There is simply no point in doing it if there isn't the infrastructure available to make the job efficient. I was thinking that we may want to consider opening a cartage, or moving and storage business to provide the private transport of the swag and at the same time allow a depreciation on the vehicles and be able to write off the cost of fuel and sundry expenses involved. As the vehicles are depreciated they could be sold to an offshoot company of mobile massage facilities entitled "feels on wheels".

We would of course need to hire a staff of highly skilled and ,<cough> well qualified personel to open the contribution envelopes. Since there is a gender gap in employment I say we should pick up the slack by employing a disproportionate number of women for this job.

Permit me to offer still another addage: The embezzlement target must itself have money in order to justify our embezzlement effort.

Or, in the old cartoon of an exasperated Robin Hood telling one of his merry men: Of course we rob from the rich, stupid! How're we even gonna make any money robbing from the poor!

She got banned over that misunderstanding where she thought she was abusing a cabana boy, but ended up stalking a cabin boy.

This showed up in my e-mail today...

Dump the male flight attendants. No one wanted them in the firstplace.

Replace all the female flight attendants with good-lookingstrippers! What the hell, they don't even serve food anymore, so what's theloss?

The strippers would at least triple the alcohol sales and get a 'partyatmosphere' going in the cabin. And, of course, every businessman in thiscountry would start flying again, hoping to see naked women.

Because of the tips, female flight attendants wouldn't need a salary, thussaving even more money. I suspect tips would be so good that we could chargethe women for working the plane and have them kick back 20% of the tips, including lap dances and 'specialservices.'

Muslims would be afraid to get on the planes for fear of seeing naked women.Hijackings would come to a screeching halt, and the airline industry would seerecord revenues.

This is definitely a win-win situation if we handle it right -- a goldenopportunity to turn a liability into an asset.

Why didn't Obama think of this? Whydo I still have to do everything myself?

Sincerely,
Bill Clinton

slick willy still at it!
