Forgive me for another use of that probably overworked line, but I believe all the wisdom of the world can be found within the movies "Blazing Saddles" and "Casablanca".
To paraphrase "Say it again, Sam"

Everything I ever needed to know was learned from "Blazing Saddles, Casablanca, It's a Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad,World, Kindergarden or Sniper School"
Anything else that was relevant was gleaned from Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Beach Boys or The Beatles !

With special thanks to Elmer Keith !

What about Jeff Cooper? Not to be confused with Alice Cooper...

I am rather fond of Alice as well, why not both.

Cooper was a showman, Cooper IS a showman.

Col.J.C. was full of self promotion, had a few good ideas, but was seriously devoted to an antique firearm. Even the CZ 75/Bren design is old.
Now if he had promoted Glocks he might have been considered a visionary !

My error.

As compensation for my reprehensible loss of scholarly accuracy, the Dungeon embezzlement rate will be lowered to 38.8% for the next seven days.

Wow. I didn't follow the wedding at all. Now, I can see that I actually did miss something. Seriously, though, Pipa does look like she might be a master of the frosty look. Then again, 7 of 9 made a career out of that for Jerri Ryan.

The Brits run a public spectacle with more class, flair, style, and punctuality than anyone else in the world! It was worth watching, even without factoring in the salacious sleazeball observational opportunities. Seeing an event run with class is always enjoyable even if the participants in that event are of minimal interest to the observer.

I have an additional observation to offer. I watch a replay of the Spanish-language coverage. I speak no Spanish, but it was amazing how much NOT understanding the commentary seemed to enhance the viewing experience!

One of my favorite movies!

Obamy sort of reminds me of the the Scare Crow (no brains), Cowardly Lion (spineless) and the Tin Man (heartless) all wrapped up in one!

So, does that mean a house landed on him? Or did the sugar that he was made out of go into solution when someone threw water on him?

I offer MY television scheduling conspiracy to complement YOUR television scheduling conspiracy:

For many years, ABC ran the movie "Ten Commandments" on Easter Sunday evening. This year, they ran it on SATURDAY evening! Why, you may ask? I offer this answer: This year, ABC has a top hit in "Desperate Housewives" on Sunday night, and they didn't want to zap the ratings buildup for the season's last three episodes!

We can now celebrate the resurrection of the "Lost Pages" which we had feared we had lost in "the crash"! A superb party opportunity.

We can also throw a "wake" for those posts done during the crash which were deleted during the resurrection. Only a select few will ever know what they were; nyaa nyaa!

I guess Gee will never know, in an alternate universe, I was wondering if TARDIS with a blown fuse had left her stranded in a Pleasure Planet shopping mall.

Then again, maybe she'll find out.

Not to worry, TARDIS will bring Geesie back home safely. Several fail safe/manual overide functions account for MASSIVE redundency in the operating systems...I more fear that she is out-spending the limit of my unlimited Inter-Galactic Credits Card !
When it comes to shopping, Geesie is a PRO....and susan28 is her equal/co-conspiritor !

all is well

uncle

Oh Yeah......

Seal Team 6 You Rock !!

No current or former Seal will EVER pay for a drink when uncle is present !
