Again, I apologize for my reprehensible comment.

As if any of us 10-Ringers were of a coherent state of mind to note the mathematical glitch. But now that you mention it, I feel like I should erupt with some genuine spontaneously contrived outrage at the insult.
Ooh. That just reminded me of something. Next year is a leap year. I also have a major milestone (remember that it is not polite to ask a gentleman his age) birthday later in the year. That means that I get one extra day before starting a new decade.
EDIT: whoops. Sorry Chute, but this page was turned. Clearly a breakdown in segregation of duties and other internal control processes. The folks at the SEC will no doubt bring sanctions due to violations of Sarbanes-Oxley statutes.

... but then, that would mean you have to suffer through an extra day of being age x9 before you finally get to party at the (x+1)0 blowout the 10-Ring will throw for you.

Yea! I was just making light of the painted faces as it has been tied to real world sayings and some joking referals. Heck even some of the Mardi Gras people of New Orleans paint their faces and bodies... ( * )( * )

Point well taken.
November 10. Mark the date!
Never too early for a pre-party right?

Yeah, somewhere along the way, we all got so open minded that a little body paint offended us. For some reason the whole Sinterklaas thing is on a different time table in the Carribean. I figure some Dutch politician gets a paid vacation out of it, then comes home for Christmas.

I'd love to see an analysis of how much productivity and GNP is lost due to this knee jerk reaction to ENRON.
Oh, look at this. Someone took a crack at it. It costs on average $1 million more for a small firm to do an audit now.

a significant shift occurred for the first time as lost productivity skyrocketed and the overwhelming majority of public companies reported that the Sarbanes-Oxley Act had impacted administrative expenses “a great deal.” The study found lost productivity costs soared 556 percent to $1.1 million in 2004 from $160,000 in 2003 for companies with annual revenue under $1 billion.

Actually, Tater, you have performed an inestimably useful service to the raucous 10-Ringers (pardon my redundancy) by providing incentive for a sleep interval. Sleep is as important to a 10-Ringer as it is to a combat infantryman. The demeaning aura of being asleep must be disregarded when it comes to so important a physiological aspect of the 10-Ring experience.

You are welcome.
In the spirit of your remarks, have you all had a chance to review the latest Exposure Draft from the Financial Accounting Standards Board related to major changes in the standards for accounting for lease transactions? Pretty big deal.
In case you haven't had a chance do get up to speed, fluff up your pillows and get comfortable. Might want to go tinkle too before I get started.

Let's make it a sporting proposition. You present your FASB lease transaction standards, the Dungeon will present its proposed Accelerated Asset Depreciation/Amortization schedule. Whoever can put the 10-Ring audience to sleep fastest wins ... or loses ... not yet certain of the competition rules.

Deal. In the usual spirit of 10-Ring gaming, I suppose that we just make up the rules as we go along.
By the way, what types of accelerated methods are you lookin to cover? Double-declining balance, sum-of-the-years digits; or were you thinking more like tax methods like MACRS or section 179? So many choices. All special in their own way.
Wow, i'm really starting to perk up here. This place hasn't been this lively since Geesie passed through on one of her shopping trips.

"Make up the rules as we go along" is a trifle vehement; I prefer to call it learning to fly the plane on the way to the target.
The Dungeon presentation will not be covering the mundane topics you mention. If you want the actual story of where the Solyndra money was channelled before the bankruptcy declaration, check out our demo session.

Hey, Tater! The Dungeon types came up with one that will give them the edge in our competition:
Our Accelerated Depreciation lecture will be presented by T***'s Swedish Bikini Team.
Match that! ... if you can.

Well played. Well played. But clearly a violation of the established rules.
I will do you one better.
The Victoria's Secret Angels team...
Plus a quart of baby oil...
And a very large tarp...
Having a tickle contest.
Plus free N' Sweat Lager's for the audience.
Game, set, match!

Is sardines-oxtail soup best paired with saltines or oyster crackers?

The heck with oyster crackers, grilled Louisiana oysters on the half shell.
Garlic & hot sauce butter drizzled over oysters on half shell, sprinkled with romano and parmesan cheese, grill till cheeses and butter starts to brown on the edges.
Sliding the grill oyster and jucies into your mouth, then with toasted french bread slivers about 1/2" thick to wipe up the remaining jucies from the shells.
I got to go! Done made myself hungry!
