I offer a clarification of my earlier post.

US Treasury debt is still strong investment grade, so I doubt China is sweating getting its 1.2 trillion repaid. What China DOES get, as their US paper rolls over, is an extra 1/4 to 1/2 percent APR on their reinvested money. Even a minor interest rate increase really adds up when the base amount is a trillion plus. China gets to count additional income; we get to pay it. If Mao Zedong is anywhere where he can track what is going on, he would kick himself for not taking China's economy on its current private enterprise shtick when HE was running things!

I ask forgiveness for my breach of protocol in making consecutive posts, but an important administrative issue must be addressed.

It has become my honor to be monkey-DNA poster on two consecutive pages. This, of course, is desirable for ME, but in this instance it creates complications. I am coming off (in a matter of speaking) two Chamber sessions, one for the LAST monkey-page spot and one for my temerity in correcting Twee-Twee's pronoun usage. Such a double punishment session is sufficient in the short run for any reasonable 10-Ringer (pardon my inconsistency). I therefore wish to announce that THIS Chamber punishment session will be deferred and, if necessary, be redirected to a needy 10-Ringer of Twee-Twee's choosing. So start sucking up to HER, cappishe?!

Important detail: the standard embezzlement rate is 39%, not 38%. The last time the rate was that low was when Twee-Twee asked me in a particularly convincing manner.

Walmart DOES have its uses. It gives the common-rabble-9-and-40-crowd something to occupy its time, thus freeing up the exalted 10-Ring faithful for more worthy shopping effort.

Hmmmmm ... an interesting possibility ... Perhaps I underestimated Twee-Twee's administrative finesse.
