I would like to propose that the representatives from the Maximum Improbability Party be Moe, Larry and Curly. While overly informal, curtly impromptu and sometimes inane, they can on occassion prove to be a very effective catalyst at such meetings.

They can serve alongside the Marx Brothers: Harpo, Chico, Groucho, Zeppo, and Karl.

Funny guys all, but when it comes to the humor of the fifth and often forgotten Marx Brother (Karl), the following quote comes to mind.

Quote:
His jest will savour but of shallow wit, When thousands more weep than did laugh at it,

I am old enough to remember when Marxism was deemed the wave of the future. Today, it is in full retreat. Some victories take decades to achieve, but they are victories nevertheless.

Milton Friedman summed it up very well when he rebutted Donahue.

Thanks for the link to Friedman - one of my heroes. Nobody has done a better job explaining how economic freedom (a synonym for capitalism) increases the likelihood of prosperity. I am a CPA by trade, but my real interest is economics. I have read Friedman with great benefit. I like a lot of the things that have been created by free men in a free market society: the XTP, the Gold Dot, Double Tap, Glock, Starline Brass, the 1911 and so forth. Oh yah and beer. I've tried commie beer and it kind of sucks.

Years ago, George Will came up with a good one: The belief that Socialism is morally superior to Capitalism is based on the philosophy that because a rose smells better than a cabbage, it will make better soup.

IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY ADMIN ITEM:

We might consider making Conan O'Brien a 10-Ring Facility member. Don't know his politics, or even what he shoots, but he now has some decent walkin' around money!

So does Belgian beer. Say, aren't they pretty socialist now too?

Yeah, he might want to study us in case he is going back to writing for the Simpsons.

If you can talk them out of it, the Dungeon Production Department will gratefully accept new filtration media.

Winter chill always makes donations tougher this time of year.

Perhaps if you catch the ladies as they exit the High Condo sauna?

We should be okay on filtration media. We have full coverage of the High Condo sauna, use of BOTH embassies, and (with your position on this page) optimum Chamber position. If we grovel sufficiently to the filter media "providers", we should be covered (in a manner of speaking).
