Impossible.
We're here.
Think of the electrons. 500 pages of them.

He's probably going to send us a bill for having the only thread which takes up a measurable amount of disk space.

Let's say it was exactly one year ago. Close enough for government work?
So I would guess that post 500 will occur on or near October 15th 2011. Give or take a month.

Yep, but give or take five months.

"Fuzzy Math" is an emerging trend in physics and mathematics. Perhaps the 10-Ring is actually a pacesetter on the leading edge of science!

" Fuzzy Math" is the process of doing math problems while under the influence of the " Fuzzy Navel"
1 part peach schnapps
1 part orange juice
1 part lemonade
Mix equal parts of each ingredient in a highball glass, top with ice, and serve.
Not to be confused with the: Pierced Fuzzy Navel
Ingredients
- 1 fluid ounce peach schnapps
- 1 fluid ounce vodka
- 3 fluid ounces orange juice
- 1 dash grenadine (optional)
- ice cubes
But there was a constipated carpenter...
He worked it out with a pencil...

I am about to show my age with this comeback:
There was a constipated engineer
who worked it out with a slide rule.

Hmmmmm ... the next 500 ... ten more years ... Eric would be TRULY impressed ... would prove the 10-Ring is a long-haul type of outfit ... the common-rabble-9-and-40 shooters would not know how to act!

I've had people tell me they want their thirty seconds back after reading my post, but I've never had an admin tell me they wanted their disk space back. Of course, the times that they deleted my posts sort of fall in that category.

So, the 500 page thing turns out not to be so inspiring after all.

O.K. I'm back.......
NO you CAN'T have the keys to TARDIS !
Rapture my arse...that old con man is probably sitting on a beach in Pango-Pango, kicked back & swilling Mai-Tai's by the gallon, filthy rich with all of the assets he schemed his followers out of. He would have made Harry Mudd or P.T.Barnum proud !
Just gotta wonder, how many of the fools went the "Kool-Aid" route ?
Geesie hasn't had TARDIS all this time, I have. I was preforming research into this "rapture" crap. Thru history, it has been predicted many times, all (so far) with the same results.
When it happens folks, there ain't gonna be time to change underwear !
And don't worry about 2012 either, only thing gonna happen then is Bret Farves' FINAL retirement.
Only thing happened was my lawn got taller.
Hey Shadow, how's it going ? You still dry ? Or be you treading water ?
uncle
(I'll be leaving soon on another research run, but when I get back, Geesie gets TARDIS back for shopping )
ref: Matthew 24:4
this tells you what you need to know !

Yo, MD! You clearly have not yet reached the ultimate nirvana that represents the pinnacle achievement of the 10-Ring outlook on existence! Do not worry; da' Rabbi will explain this correctable defect in your outlook.
You are confusing inspiring and uninspiring; this confusion is a standard condition that is well-known to those who carry the admin load of keeping the 10-Ring Resort functioning. The inspiring achievement of keeping a thread running for 500 pages is, in an oddly contraindicative way, so much within the capabilities we cherish as 10-Ring denizens, that we prefer to regard it as UN-inspiring, since it what we have been striving to achieve for all these years. So our inspired action is actually uninspiring, since we would be disappointed in ourselves if it WERE inspiring!
My advice: Grab the beer, sit back, and enjoy the ride. The Dungeon Admin Types advise against overthinking things.
