I think he considers himself a gun guy. He carries a G36 I believe, or a 30.

The dedicated 10-Ringer should not even be forced to refer to that caliber by ANY name, even that parody .40Short&Weak moniker. The Dungeon Linguistics/Semantics Operations suggest we refer to it with poorly concealed distain as ... that "other" caliber.

If he wants to use a platform that size, you must bring him around to uncle's version....

He must come over to the Dark Side & carry a G29.....

.40 SAFE-T-STIX GUNSHOW STATUS CHECK

Day one of the Indy gunshow passed without incident. None of the clueless gunshow customers (pardon my redundancy) came anywhere close to noticing our private scandal with use of the safe-t-stix. With luck, this lack of gunshow denizen comprehension will continue the rest of the weekend, and we 10-Ring resort regulars can wallow in the delicious celebration of our illicit guilt.

More later, as things develop.

.40 SAFE-T-STIX GUNSHOW STATUS CHECK

Day 2 of the gunshow is complete. One vigilant person did notice the .40 safe-t-stix in the G20 I was using. Disaster was averted when I quickly concocted a story about the 10-Ring research effort using low-budget marginally adequate materials to survey production possibilites for safety devices worthy of carrying 10-Ring sponsorship. The vigilant customer complimented our judgement in tolerating the demeaning .40 label as part of our economy measures in our worthy research effort. All things considered, it was a classy con job.

Just a heads-up from the Dungeon Scheduling Advisory Service, Shadow. The 400th Page Celebration comes 25 posts before the 10,000th Post Celebration. This big double whammy celebration may take a lot of stamina for the celebrants to fully enjoy; hope you kept up your conditioning program.

We used to shoot a depleted uranium 200 grain 10mm cartridge and then we figured, "what the heck", why use the depleted stuff when the live stuff is so much more effective.

The phrase "so much more effective" may be an understatement. A 200 grain 10mm bullet fashioned from refined U-235 into a jacketed hollow point (producing a crude but effective shaped-charge effect) could readily penetrate the 16" turret-face armor of an Iowa class battleship, and usually disable the entire turret! This MAY be one of the reasons the Iowa's were deactived; those 10mm rounds spooked the navy bigshots, even though all the rounds were in friendly 10-Ring hands.

Listen up, you 10-Ring reprobates (pardon my redundancy). Here is the official listing of the parties associated with the dual 400th-page/10000th-post celebration:

400th Page Planning Party
400th Page Preparation Party
400th Page Anticipatory Party
400th Page Pre-Party
400th Page Party
400th Page Post-Pary
400th Page Wrap-up Party
400th Page Evaluation Party
400th Page Nostalgia Party
10000th Post Planning Party
10000th Post Preparation Party
10000th Post Anticipatory Party
(We think you can finish out the pattern on your own)

The mighty U-235 JHP 10mm has rendered more than an entire class of battleships completely obsolete. As an acronym, it takes a backseat to nothing. They are so potent, that Steven Segal does not even fill the hollow points with Mercury, Chuck Norris alternates U-235 JHP 10mm with 10mm full metal jacket rounds just to be sporting and attempts have been made to amend the Geneva Convention to ban the round.

Hmmmm ... 10mm vs. Chuck Norris ... An interesting quandary for the 10mm faithful ... but perhaps consideration of this question should be deferred until after the upcoming dual celebration.

One possible failing I see here......

Will there be ENOUGH of the various libations required for a group of celebrations of such magnitude ??

Has ENGINEER151515 been contacted about possible shortages of "N"Sweat Lager ??

Do we have any sort of backup plan if we fall short ?

One must be practical !

uncle

Unkle, the situation is covered. The Dungeon admin people saw this one coming long ago. That Nimitz-size ship moored at the far side of the Lagoon is NOT an aircraft carrier; it is the storage facility for the libation stockpile we have built up for the coming double celebration. Eng15 has had his people running 7/24 on NS production; we were esspecially amused by his having Mongo sit on the pressure relief valves to keep them closed during this production effort. The 10-Ring faithful need not be disturbed by any spectre of involuntary sobriety.
