IMPORTANT 10-RING FACILITY ADMINISTRATIVE ANNOUNCEMENT
The Dungeon administrative types are now taking orders for long-lead-time-type items for the approaching 500th page celebrations. Accomodating the preferences of the marginally coherent 10-Ringers (pardon my redundancy) is one of our prime ambitions down here in Dungeon-land.

My shopping cart consists of the following celebratory essentials:
Small colection of Pink Floyd tunes
Mickey Mouse Ears
Nachos (hold the onions please)
Whoopie cushion
N' Sweat Lager
Party ballons (better go with non-latex)
9 volt batteries
Twist ties
duct tape
First aid kit
laxative (oral only please)
Funny nose-and-mustache glasses
That's it. I like to keep it simple.

All I require is an excuse to party (although some of those little party napkins and some libations are usually nice).

The prediction originates with Harold Camping, an 89-year-old retired civil engineer from Oakland, Calif., who founded Family Radio Worldwide, an independent ministry that has broadcast his prediction around the world.
The Rapture — the belief that Christ will bring the faithful into paradise prior to a period of tribulation on earth that precedes the end of time — is a relatively new notion compared to Christianity itself, and most Christians don't believe in it. And even believers rarely attempt to set a date for the event.

Dungeon admin types asked me to inform the myopic 10-Ringers (pardon my redundancy) that any end-of-the-world contingencies on Saturday have been accounted for in logistics work for this weekend's lagoon parties. Hey, the end of the world is no excuse for the LSMPS(BBB)DP's to start slouching on the job!

I read the article and apparently, there is much room for interpretation on the rapture thing. For example, people expecting to be taken away during the rapture are taking out insurance policies to guarantee that their pets (which will be left behind) will be taken care of. A) The fact that your pet is left behind implies that the earth is not destroyed. B) the fact that people will be around to take care of your pet implies that (at least) some people will survive.
Frankly, I'm confused. I should have picked up a six pack of Guinness at the supermarket today. Having a good buzz on seems like it would help with the ambiguity of not being swept away.

CTM got a tad eager on this one. We'll get it back in sync on the next embezzlement cycle.

There's some real concern with the 500th page event potentially coming after the end of the world on the 22nd.
Also, there are a few planetary alignment theories revolving around the fact that the 500th page coincides with the end of the world.
ZAPTURE.

We'll have to throw a party supporting the symposium on the possible effect of the end of the world on 10-Ring partying.

G29 sighted on Fox this morning.
Which is almost doublespeak - a Fox on Fox.
Timeless beauty.

You can't blame the man. It will be a significant page turning event. Plans must be made, events must be monitored. It is a lot of pressure!

Plus, if we do a lot of bogus posts, we can speed things up.

Not our style; cheapening the product just to pad post count would be boorish in the extreme! Degrading the level of repartee' to achieve an unimportant short-range objective is more of a common-rabble-9-and-40-crew type of action.

So I guess what you are saying is that the 10 Ringers will stumble accross that benchmark without added colors and fillers. Dare I say that we will organically wander to page 500?
By the way, you are busted on the the unsanctioned use of the edit function. The usual reduction to the embezzlement percentage shall apply.
