That's not fair! Warp 10 is the theoretical upper limit of warp speed. At Warp 10, you would simultaneously occupy every location in the universe -- if that were possible. Anyway, Uhura is in charge of communications. She's not a helmsman. Kirk was just looking for an excuse.

It's my father's fault. He would take us out of school to see the first showing of the early Star Trek films. 
Still, I only have a mild case. I own no Star Trek souvenirs of any type and have no interest in ever going to a convention.
