If you have zero religious or spiritual beliefs, why would you even ask the question?

It is real.

I know.

In my previous life I died in 2648 when my spaceship collided with a rogue meteorite.

I don't believe that the world we currently have the understanding, senses, and technology to perceive with objectivity is the only part of our existence. Based on less objective experiences (but ones I can no less ignore), I do believe there is more, and I do believe in a "world to come" so to speak.

But in the interim, yeah, my body is going to be worm food.

That is the inescapable truth. We are bound to pass just as surely as we were born. But any good news I can testify to regarding what comes after that has nothing to do with giving you warm fuzzies about death. Anything I can testify to has everything to do with who and what you are before you depart.

I still haven't decided.

I've heard that when the dalai lama was a kid, he knew several languages and was able to speak them fluently, even though he had never heard them before, and he was easily able to pick out the previous dalai lama's personal effects, among a number of fakes, and referred to them as his personal effects, not the previous dalai lama's stuff.

So, maybe reincarnation is a thing, or maybe it isn't, I don't have enough evidence to decide one way or the other.

If it is after 1899, the breed continues to thrive.

If you are reincarnated prior to 1899, the breed did not exist.

The dog I had in 2648 was named Igor. It was fun potty training him on our space ship.

Show me your dog, and I will tell you what manner of man you are.

When I was a kid, I had a elderly neighbor (who was from rural Virginia) tell me his daughter spoke French on her own when she was old enough to talk.

I guess there are many reasons he could have been wrong. Maybe baby gibberish sounds French? Don't know.

On stuff like this, I try to keep an open mind and suspend my considerable disbelief.

I saw a YouTube video about a buddhist monk who was dead for 3 days and came back with a testimony about hell and heaven. don't lnow how credible it is, but is interesting.

Did you ask him how good her accent was?

No one has come back to tell us yet, so I'd say we're just worm food.

Atheism is a religion.

He is questioning his faith in that religion.
